Not really sure what AMD is thinking with the XT processors. They have confirmed Ryzen gen 4 is coming this year so there seems every incentive to just wait.

My brother in law got an i7 9700 which is, apparently, quite a bit faster than the 3700x and only about 50 euros more. I'm going to wait until after the summer at least, but it's all very confusing still.

logitech ones are pretty good as far as I am aware - not had a look at the gaming ones but I have an old wireless mouse with the 'darkfield' tech and it is wonderful - can use it on glass if I wanted to.

Seeing some reviews coming out for the AMD Ryzen XT chips. Seems they are going the way of Intel and re-releasing the same old gooseberry fool with a higher price for not much benefit. The 3800XT costs almost the same as a 3900X for strawberry float sake.

Yeah, the more I look at options for my upgrade the more I don't understand who these are for, really. Apparently the 4000 series is on for a 2020 release again (after reports of slippage into next year) so these seem to be less of a stop-gap option and more of a cash grab.

Been flirting with the idea of getting a dedicated PC for gaming (again).

But then someone suggested just using a Shadow Virtual PC instead.
Had a quick look, cheap(ish) to rent a month, great specs, downloads to "your" PC take a fraction of the time using Shadow's internet connection.

What's the GRcade PC Gamer opinion of the Shadow solution? Legitimately good? Or Google Stadia 2.0?
