It's crazy. The other DLC I think are pay to win personas and cheat items.

Royale includes all the DLC packs from the original game, but I believe there's even more DLC costume packs for Royale.

That's where I bought mine from and it arrived before release date. Completed three palaces and I love the game.

I've not really put any time into this yet. Want to get through Dragon Quest XI first rather than having two JRPGs on the go at once.

WTF? Most of the challenge battles are paid DLC? I just assumed they were part of the expanded content.

Just finished Royal with a platinum trohey, mopping up all side quests, companion levels and getting the True Ending.

Absolutly brilliant game and the extra added in bits are fantastic along with the 15 hours additional gameplay after the OG final boss.

I don't understand why they made the additional content missable though it's so good to be easily missed.

120 hours and I was level 94

I really can't get on with this game. I tried to get back into it because I was interested in Strikers but it's not happening.

I think it's a combination of a few things.

The game is too long and pads out its run time with way too much fan service. Speaking of, I find it hilarious how the first boss is this pervert who objectifies women and then the game goes on to objectify basically every woman you can build a relationship with.

The game also has a habit of making the main characters taking ages to figure out really obvious things when you as the player already know them. It's tiresome.

The game is also way to cis male oriented. From the writing to the social interactions there's so much stuff that just makes me roll my eyes. HAHA Ann has trauma from being preyed upon by Kawashima, let's just ignore that and perv on her at every opportunity.

I think this game gets away with so much because it's stylish. Yes the combat is okay, but at its core once you have certain encounters figured out there is absolutely no challenge because there's no urgency (unlike FF7 with its ATB system). The combat feels more orientated around conserving your SP more than anything. Sure you can express yourself a little by mixing personas, but 3/4 characters can't really be played in unique ways. I just found that unengaging.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, I just don't want to spend 100 hours engaging in a plot that is primarily there to promote fan service. It just undercuts the narrative for me as well as making the game far longer than it needs to be.

These were some of the big problems I also had with the game. That and the awful localization. There was just enough about it that I did like to make me slog through it till the end.

I'm kind of interested in Strikers but whether it'll have more of what I liked about P5 versus what I didn't remains to be seen.
