The Joy Division tees sold out in couple of sizes, across both colours, ridiculously quickly. Thankfully they're back in stock (bar XS on the white) so I'm gonna hold off until they go on sale.

I picked up the DBZ eyes tee and the mint green hoodie from the Urban Walls collection.

There's a Super Mario tee on there for £2.90. It's the black one with the red Mario tab beside the pocket. Only available in M.

Dunno if it's just because they're using tiny models, but the tees in that Joy Division range look really oversized.

Yeah, I thought that. I'm putting it down to the small framed models intentionally wearing oversized clothing. I guess it's a style... (you see it in some of their other modelled shots elsewhere on the site as well.)

Was I strawberry float spending the money on a proper Arduino when this was £12 on Amazon. Annoyingly it comes with 5 band resistors rather than the 3 band ones I'm used to so working out what's what is a bit of a pain.

Yeah, they're the same, the cut corners in ways that don't matter or just get them made in China, arduinos are made in Italy.

You can literally make an arduinos compatible project with just the atmega CPU and a handful of basic components.

Now you can start collecting like £100 worth of random sensors from places like Cool Components / Adafruiit industries / PiHut etc etc

All of my installations use arduinos as the interaction platform.

As well as the usual LEDs it came with some RGB LEDS, switches, a tilt sensor, light sensor and a buzzer.

Got an Apple HomePod but very underwhelmed by the weak sound. Its good quality sound but weak and quiet. I guess you can't expect much from a tiny speaker...judging by this I will steer clear of the Sonos too.

They're cool as strawberry float.

I've got an assignment to code a two-way traffic light system so that should be fun.

:fp: Sound quality is widely regarded to be brilliant, like I said in the Apple thread the lack of Spotify support is a killer otherwise I would have been all over that £199 deal. I've got a Sonos One and it sounds great.

Bought this because I can't be strawberry floated wet shaving my head anymore

Pricey at £70 but it's a proper bit of barbershop kit and barely leaves any mess to clean up.

I'm getting to the point of needing this sort of thing. Let me know if it's up to scratch after a few uses.

My new passport came today

Image

No Blue one for me for another 10 years, it does however have the new layout inside,

* Edit - the layout inside is not the latest layout but it’s different from my old passport (issued in 2010)

I need to get a new passport. If it's blue I will complain, it has always been red, they must have made a mistake. Also my English-made full grain leather passport cover is red, this will create so much confusion.

It's brilliant, actually just feels like you've just wet shaved your head it's that close. Your hair needs to be buzzed short to begin with though, preferably with unguarded clippers at least, or it'll be too long to cut. I could only wet shave my head once a week maximum otherwise I'd always get a rash at the back of my head/top of the neck but I've been using this every 2-3 days and it's been fine.

Never really occurred to me to use one of these to shave my whole head until my barber did it and recommended it.

I'm gonna think about getting one of those. I've never wet-shaved my head but I've used clippers (no guard) for years now.
