This portion of the post was aimed at BonalityMatrix:
Imagine the notion of turning awareness and consideration of others into a pejorative. How utterly twisted do you have to be on the inside to do that, or to use it as an attack because lol the internet. Oh no. There I go losing my chill. Anyway! They're cancelled now :slol: Apologies for going off-topic.

This is a PuP post:
The green outfit lives :slol: Kind of. I bought another green top (a turtle-neck) and a pair of Heattech, slim-fit jeans. (Not green.) £20 for the both of 'em was too cheap to pass up.

I'm slightly lost as I was being deliberately indirect, but you can buy whatever you like man. I wasn't referring to you.

I just don't want to see the GRcade consumer enjoyment thread ruddered into culture wars as it is basically off topic.

No stress. It's obvious why this thread exists. People just sharing gooseberry fool they bought and thinking hey isn't this neat.

It's an extention of "retail therapy" basically. Personally I think naturally there's an "output" for FOMO and the painful reticence caused by excruciating over ever single purchase (that's me), all the nasty psychology around just buying things.

Insert "but I like that thing" YouTube guy.

I'm so lost right now

And I thought it would be obvious who my post was aimed at.

No I know who it was aimed at.

I just think you should still be reassured you can buy whatever you want.

Wait, did you actually cancel buying something? Was this all a ruse? Tune in next time to find out.

Oh, I know. I mean, I won't let ribbing in here about my taste stop me  I put the kibosh on the green outfit (again, it wouldn't have been COMPLETELY green ) because it just looked better in my head than in reality.

The heattech jeans arrived today. They're 34" in length :| :fp:

I got some new trousers from Next (laga style) lately. Went in wearing size 32 waist, regular leg (wear on my hips so it has strawberry float all to do with any weight thankyouverymuch). Bought two pairs, size 32 waist, regular leg. One fit perfect with a little room to spare. The other couldn't even close the button on it by at least 3 or 4 inches.

Fitting room closed. What the hell, does anyone actually try these things on real people? How can the same retailer, and even the same style of trousers be so wrong different? (I half expected they were actually labelled wrong.)

Were they completely the same pair of trousers? Like one wasn't from another range by Next or something? Bizarre sizing difference if they were from same exact range.

I usually buy jeans from Sainsbos and it's the same thing. I have 32 that fit, 32 that don't. Some 34 don't either.

It's really weird.

I'm pretty sure the only difference was one was grey chinos, and the other stretchy navy stuff.

The thing is, I don't have to stretch the stretch ones whatsoever to put them on, there's still an inch or so before the elastic needs to be stretched. Which makes sense, because the non-stretchy trousers I was already wearing fit fine and have done for years, since the day I got them (they haven't gotten bigger!) The grey chinos, are like 4 inches smaller with or without elastic on those. Otherwise, they're basically the same style and cut of trousers. Pretty much all of Next's stuff is - what's different is whether they're "slim" or "normal". Both were "slim" trousers.

I also have some 34"s but I can't wear them without a belt. It makes zero sense.

I bought a shirt for work from Next once that I ended up really liking the fit and style of, so I went back to the exact same product and ordered the exact same size - the only difference was the colour. When it arrived, everything about it was different - length, fit, material...it was weird (and annoying).

I've been back in my office recently and realised I hate the keyboard and mice available there, so have somehow gone and bought a new, smaller keyboard to potentially use both at work and at home as my current Corsair keyboard is old and not in the best condition.

The Durgod Taurus K320 ticked my needs for now but ultimately I have my eye on the Keychron C1 when that comes out in the UK, maybe even with some cheap custom keycaps to replace the original ones. I still need to work out whether this is going to be too loud for an office environment.

I think I've instantly turned into another mechanical keyboard guy. :fp:

Two new tees from Henri Lloyd, one had a £50 RRP while the other was originally priced at £65.

Thanks to a special offer in the Clarks Village outlet branch though, i got both for just £30.
