Debanhams has some dirt cheap basics on sale. Add BLACKOUT for free delivery. (Picked up some £3.50 slip ons for when I need to quickly pop out to the shops but cba to lace my boots up.)

How hard did you graft for it, how much great British stoicism /10

Presumably that's a macbook slip case. I've had one, even in a bag the thing just absorbs all the damage and warps so I don't recommend dropping it. The trouble with aluminium is, it doesn't bounce.

It's a laptop sleeve. With where the zips are located though, if you drop it, you end up with a zip debossed into your machine :slol:

Yes like Green Geko said it’s a MacBook sleeve

https://www.hardgraft.com/products/5050 ... 2830646789

(I got it at the slightly lower price using a Black Friday discount code)

The feel of the wool and the leather is really nice, it looks a lot more sophisticated than my old Amazon Basics one

At £180, the sleeve is going to be kept in a briefcase I'd hope.

Please post your temperatures. Also I'd be interested to know how accurate they are. Also if Fahrenheit and Celsius don't match, which is a problem I have. How can I know the scale is right?

i use these ones https://www.amazon.co.uk/ThermoPro-TP50 ... 68OHZJO0GU

They're accurate enough and run on AAAs - which is a plus cause most of the smaller ones run on watch batteries which you can't recharge. The screens start to degrade if you leave em in direct sunlight though, so be careful about the placement. I use em for the greenhouse and keeping track on my plants around the house

Thanks, the name ThermPro gives me confidence, although as my secondary school teacher once pointed out, when I added flames to a graph denoting around 10 degrees (for a science experiment), the flame isn't very representative. Surely, at those temperatures, the thermometer would actually melt? Please could you confirm if the thermometers are fire retardant? I wouldn't want to risk it, seeing as you already have one, I'd appreciate you carrying out this small test for me.

Ps with a high of around 31 degrees and 0.5 degree above room temperature you can probably save money on your energy bills. I hope this helps, just a small observation.

My thermostat is currently 19 degrees, I am also in a state of comfort but still require a blanket.

The thermostat says ROOM TEMP, but I think that is simply stating WHAT temperature that is, that is not room temperature, room temperature is 21 degrees. Sorry if this is confusing.

I'd hate to lose my COMFORT by exposing my ThermPro (flame removed) to such a dry heat. If the plastic frame were to catch light I would lose my ability to accurately measure the ambient temperature and humidity of this room with the efficiency that one can only achieve with a quality brand like ThermPro.

Request denied.

I wholly appreciate your circumstances and don't mean to intrude, thank you for putting me down lightly.

Today I took receipt of an LCD 3D PRINTER by ELEGOO. I will post back later confirming whether it indeed prints in 3D as it may print in more or indeed less dimensions, if it does do that, I need not complain if in excess, but any less, I may have to provide a kind complaint to bring the issue to the attention of their quality assurance executives, I believe they are based in Hong Kong albeit manufacture is in Shenzen so I will write to them both (if necessary).

I may need some support drafting such a correspondence, in case I come off as kurt or entitled, after all, 2 dimensions may be sufficient for my purposes, never look a gift horse in the mouth. It was heavily discounted, after all, so I may be overreaching for the price I paid (in case I'm not clear, that might be why it attracted such a significant discount, and they are in fact aware of the problem).

As I used to say - "You can't go wrong with Hong Kong". In my previous role as the owner of an aritisnal Toilet and Plumbing company, we got all of our ceramics from a company based in Hong Kong. We found that all our customers appreciated the aesthetic appeal of a piece of Sha Tin porcelain.
