I'm very quiet if I'm not babbling on so yeah that happens too. I promise I'm not Dexter.

Decided i needed a non Uniqlo white tee, and found this one at Clarks Village (and the print is actually reflective which is an unusual twist), it was £20 but was originally £65 from Henri Lloyd so i got a pretty good deal.

Also, picked this up today, have never gotten around to reading it before and so am looking forward to it...

War of the worlds is a grand bit of science fiction, one of the very few novels I've ever read and the decisive surprise ending is great philosophy.

I still wear a £450 or so Henri lloyd coat I found for £16 in Farnham charity shop. Such a great town for picking up crumbs from rich tories.

The trend for wearing trench coats seemed to coincide with when The Matrix first came out.

There used to be a whole bunch of people who would wander around Exeter city centre dressed that way (complete with sunglasses even on a dark cloudy winter's day), and considering the location, i suspect Jenuall was amongst them.

I can wear sunglasses whenever I want because my vision is augmented :datass:

I have to wear sunglasses outside most of the time because I have naturally augmented eyes that can literally see in the dark better than most people

My family always used to say "can you read that in the dark". I'm like, "it's dark?" I actually found it pretty repetitive.

I use to walk around in the dark. Not really sure how I managed it but would occasionally freak out my housemates by walking down the stairs with no lights on.

Yeah this is me as well, my eyes seem to operate very well in low light compared to the average person.

Clearly we are all part of the next stage of evolution :datass:

This little stunner arrived in the mail a couple of days ago, it's beautifully made, and now sits pride of place on my table...

This one meanwhile was delivered today, it's a region free US copy (already tested it just to be certain) and i'm not even sure the movie has a UK release date yet...

Here's a trailer i found for it...

Finally retiring the beautiful old beast, the Ergonomic 4000. I’ve wanted a mechanical keyboard for ages, and now I’m permanently working from home I can justify it. Keychron K2, brown switches, and Mac/PC switchable, and a nicely weighty aluminium case. Already feels great, and will only get better as I adjust to it.

Was tempted to get that one a while ago, it's apparently excellent. I'm waiting on a UK version of the K3 though

New Uniqlo Marvel tees are piss :fp: Well, I like the crawling Spider-Man one, but the tee colour is meh. (Black.)

Decided to plop for the Kashiwa Sato Spider-Man one instead.

So I download the app seeing as they're giving away their free masks with every app order. Holy gooseberry fool. Navigating the site was such a pain that the free £10 set of masks feels like I'm down on the deal. Thankfully, I was able to complete the deal via the regular website, I then uninstalled the app asap. Awful, awful app. Ugh.

Very nice.

How are you finding the browns? I'm not really liking them too much tbh, they're so smooth as to be more linear than tactile, and I do like a nice click to my keys. Got some Glorious Pandas ordered to rectify

Yeah, it’s only a very subtle resistance. I haven’t spent enough time on it yet to get a feel for it, but I think it’ll be OK. I really wanted the clicky blues, but I guess I might have found them annoying. It’s certainly a step up from the slight sponginess of the MS keyboard. I’ve also had to spend a fair while using the Mac chiclet-style keyboard, and I’ll be very happy to leave that behind.

I can see the appeal. The K2 is a little chunky. Thought I might have to get a wrist rest, but it’s fine when it’s tilted with the legs up.

So annoying that they don’t do the hot-swappable models in UK format. I originally wanted the one with the number pad (can’t remember the model number - K8 maybe), but there was no sign of it being available. Decided I should learn to live without it, because having the mouse nearer is much more valuable.

Mine is a 60%, so no numpad and no arrow keys, and I'm finding it much better than my old full-size. There's a function layer so the arrow keys are now on the IJKL keys instead and I'm slowly getting used to using those instead. Like you say, the reclaimed deskspace is more than worth the slight learning curve.

Half of my work time is spent copy editing, so I use the arrow keys a hell of a lot. It wouldn’t be worth the saved space for me to lose them too.

(that's literally my job lol)

(Also writing)

But yeah, it takes a while to get used to. I definitely missed them today, for example, while editing text in spreadsheet cells.

Does anyone have a verdict on low profile mechanicals? I have never used one. As someone who usually keeps their keyboard as flat as possible for ergonomic reasons I can see the appeal.

So the green outfit was a total failure. But I still need new cakey-shoes. I've decided on these after hearing about how comfy they are. Price clinched it. (£56.)

I've needed some low profile trainers for the longest time. (Ever since I bought a pair of Vans, in fact. They feel like they're barely there :dread:) Doubly so when the warm weather visits us for a couple of weeks; can't be doing with being seen in brown hiking boots when it's sunny out. Now I just need a new pair of linen trousers (not green) and I'll be sorted.

I really like some of their trainers with the suede fabric uppers. (They finish makes them look super tactile.) I may get some blue Gazelles at some point...

Has both theatrical and directors cut in 4K and both theatrical and directors cut of Battle Royale 2 on standard Blu-ray. Also includes the soundtrack from the first film and a book.
