I managed to get some of the new Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game.

I love card games, but my family aren't interested in playing anything too complex (Arkham Horror, Game of Thrones, Marvel Champions etc). I thought they might like the theme and easier play of this. I prefer the LCG model rather than a CCG, but since we're just playing at home and not entering tournaments I'll not feel the pressure to spend too much!

Got the 3 starter decks, and a Treasure Trove (storage box with 8 booster packs), and managed to pull an "Enchanted" alt-art Aurora (currently going for £200). Haven't decided if I keep it or try to sell.

The game's really fun. Think Magic The Gathering, but simpler.

Nice, I was wanting to jump in and play this but none in our Magic group (10 of us) wanted to play unfortunately.

Trying to get my son into it as he's massive Disney fan and enjoys Pokemon cards but he's not that interested at the moment.

Might get some down the line just to collect maybe, let me know how you get on playing the game!

Since this is the unofficial Uniqlo thread I thought I'd ask here. I've seen a cool Studio Ghibli collection on social media, but it doesn't seem to be on the uk website.

Do these collections tend to eventually come out here?

Not always sadly. There were some great Japan specific Splatoon designs for example. [1]

I bought a few shirts in Kyoto and never saw them anywhere else. Japan specific brands for the UT range (Corporate something or other, I got ketchup and saki, and a cool Evangelion shirt). They're regional, sometimes they're global, hard to say. I don't agree that Uniclo isn't fast fashion, but they at least seem to be agile;- they'll release things where they think they'll realistically sell all or most of them.

Studio Ghibli I'd say has a pretty good chance of going international but there may be licensing restrictions with the studio.

Qikz has posted about importing stuff from Uniclo so maybe you'd be willing to pay the extra delivery, VAT and inevitable "we ripped open your parcel rather than just reading the declaration and clearing it, so here's a £16 fine for doing that" *

*Technically this is not actually that expensive a fee for customs brokerage, it's only your insistence on ordering 1 or 2 things from half way across the planet that it seems expensive. But I am going to pretend I didn't know that because I am still bitter that one time in 2006.

[1] I ordered some of the recent ones on sale on the UK site that were decent (embroidered cat guy on a pocket) and Hermes/Evri strawberry floating lost them, so bear that in mind too. Sold out. Cheers you useless wankers.

My wife loves Disney stuff and we are always looking for games we would both like, this looks like it could be a winner, no idea how I hadnt heard of it before now. Thanks. :D

We're really enjoying it. My son and I have played about 10 games, and my wife joined us for a 3-player game which worked much better than I expected.

I have a booster box pre-ordered for Sept 1, when the game gets it's full release. (It's currently on a 2 week limited release for local game stores).

If any other forumites get on board, I'd love to do some card swaps.

Got this one for the winter last weekend, it was so lovely to be trying on such things on a blazing hot day.

I managed to snag a Lorcana gift box this morning on Zatu. Had zero hope but lut my email in the stock alert and within an hour it flagged and I ordered it. Dispatched same day. Might be worth a punt if anyone is looking.

The previous thing I'd read was that season 1 cards weren't going to be restocked until a possible reprint in January and you'd have to wait for season 2 cards that arrive in mid October. So I was very surprised with this restock.

About the only thing I've had a stock alert not on. :fp:

Very frustrating trying to get involved in this. Only thing I've managed to get is one starter set.

£15 from Amazon Japan (but then paid the same for shipping, still cheaper than getting a fully boxed almost perfect condition English one!)

I assume it has an english language option? I used to get the Phoenix Wright games early back in the day by importing them from Japan as they did have that feature.

Meanwhile, I now have an elizabeth line umbrella...

No, but I'm thankfully now pretty much fluent in Japanese so it's not a problem. :toot:
