I never spend much on shoes tbh and I'm starting to get frugal these days. Too many bills to pay :dread:

Schuh, I'm afraid they're all gone now though. But there's a similar pair I really like with more detailing and leather/suede and more subtle colours, they are still £45 but down from £100. I'll post the link, a few sizes left. Check the sale, there are some nice converse and vans flats, slips and other trainers and high tops. I don't like how converses age, going all floppy and folding in themselves and getting filthy and stuff. Maybe it's something to do with the rubber they use. I generally always like Vans but this is my first pair of Es so we'll see how they hold up.

I went for something colourful because I've been wearing way too much black and navy besides my tees, plus haven't bought any shoes in about 5 years now, wanted something different from my acid green / steel grey DC high tops and some cameo style suede DC flats. Got those both for £50 in a local DC shop sale ages ago.

I got converted to fresh and colourful trainers since my brother gave me a pair of Nike 6.0s in a Japanese only colour way (it seem) and people randomly complimented them and it is just nice to reserve some part of your body for colour, stops any outfit from being plain dull otherwise and it's a conversation starter sometimes. So now we both share that sort of nineties retro revival vibe and have a bit of colour on shoes. He threw my all leather foam contoured sole Timberland walking trainers away and then complained that the Kyoto bin men charged him for recycling  they were actually really good shoes!

I always wore skate shoes/trainers but used to go for navy brown and black and stuff. Stopped that.

Trainers from good brands last ages but eventually start to get a little hard on your feet. I have really high arches / muscles leading up the ankles so still trying to get he laces right on these but so far they're very good support and comfy, they have some bullshit marketing special insole and sole or something. I think the extra grip will be pretty forgiving on the ancient cracked paving slabs, wonky brick paving and warped marble edge stones in my town, which is really hilly.

Really? Wow good chance there, I clicked the link myself to get photos again and it said they were all sold out so that's super lucky.

Yeah the price reduction is insane and they're great quality trainers. It was a retro revival in "fall 2019" for the Symbol trainer so they're not even old and are stil up for £60-80 in various places.

Much more subtle ones up there too, I wouldn't have known if my partner hadn't mentioned it as a potential birthday thing and here I am doing organic marketing for them.

They also have small reflective crescent moon shapes which aren't obvious in the pics, they're a lot of fun as they pick up light just passing under spotlights and probably won't show up in daylight and add a bit play at night which is cool, haven't been out at night with them yet but it's something potentially amusing nonetheless.

Depending on the angle they literally light up. This bits aren't big and don't overpower the shoe or make it look like a sport or cheesy teenager thing, just glimmers of silver.

The laces are kinda glow in the dark colour.

They'd probably work really well as cycling shoes as well. They're about as risky as I'd get but I think this kind of thing is a gateway drug to more crazy shoes, we'll see... I'm already thinking of tees to make with more outlandish colours on them.

I'm nearly 46 and I'm going to look ridiculous but I don't care. These 90s styled trainers are just fantastic.

There are three in total, but the other two aren't out yet.

Looks like Uniqlo have put some more tees on sale. Might buy some more of those boxers too since the quality is really good for the price.
