Saint of Killers wrote:Not just any plant. A defective one! In all seriousness, though, that does look like a pricey variety: https://www.primrose.co.uk/40cm-variega ... 35057.html I have seen the variety before and always wondered why it looked like it did. Just assumed it was damaged by... something.

Yeah its a rare occurrence and cannot be reproduced so these are highly sought after. I have seen single leaves with a node going for £50 on eBay (although they have a lot of fenestrations the expensive ones). I hope its a fast grower so I'll be able to make my money back in the future. I also find this "defective" plant very nice looking with the variegation  Overall a solid investment!

It's only a matter of time before somebody buys a t-shirt with a picture of that plant printed on.

They're so unimaginative I get the feeling they're being satirical. ...Yup. I changed my mind. I'm going to buy eleven of each.

I think I'll be getting a friend one of those when we finally meet up again after lockdown. (She's really into her plants and flowers.) Thanks for the inadvertent inspiration!

Awesome you're welcome! What a lovely gift I am sure she will be so happy as this is highly sought after amongst plant enthusiasts. I got mine from a plant shop in Brighton that I found online https://gunnsfloriststore.com. But every time they get a new drop of these, about 6, they sell out within minutes.
However Im sure you will find them elsewhere online too :)
So are you into your plants as well?

He was on the way to sell his cow and a peddler on the road offered to swap his beans for the cow.

They close their online store whilst they restock and then open again at a specific time. So I just logged in 5 minute before and as soon as it was live I ordered.

If you think N1FFF is mad for buying a nice big plant, you ought to see the mushroom coral I bought the other day. It was £16 and it's the size of a 1p coin... :slol:
