I grabbed stuff like A4 size LEUCHTTURM1917 and Moleskin Pro Collection for £6 each, normally £20+

One or two of them are dotted which is such a fantastic way to do diagrams, layouts or furniture designs for example.

Plus something like £50 worth of Royal Langnickel & Daler Rowney paintbrushes for £15. I spent half of that on a good quality filbert shape a couple of months ago, now I have 6 or so and used them last night to finish off a sign I'm painting. Much better for painting edges than rounds.

Went in there just for fun, was pretty much hyperventilating through my facemask :slol:

For my partner even found a single limited edition Harry Potter hardback moleskin, again £5 or so rather than £15+.

I dislike having stacks of papers lying around though, enough journals to keep my gooseberry fool together and self-archived/easily referenced for the next 10 years or so. Had a neat little personal library going since uni in 2008.

I've paid full price for these things many times in the past, so it was a great shop :toot:

Got this, this and this coming.

Creative hobbies and such have gone way up during lockdown, but it goes to show, if you can find giant bundles of high end stationary and stuff like that, in a discount / buyout store, it's probably a good time to stock up on such things.

I've paid £6-£10 for a single paintbrush and was pretty happy with that haul, in fact, I'm already using it.

The Weeks will be my diary for next year. Left page is a weekly spread and the right page is blank. It comes with a free red/blue/black multi-ink pen worth a tenner.

Other stuff is a leather pencil case, an A6 notebook and a set of 3 other notebooks that fit in the pocked that's inside the Week's back cover. Also got pen refils.

I do like that you can actually buy refills alongside the pens in Japanese department stores, rather than just throwing them away. I still have a bunch, but have sadly lost most of the pens.

I used a Filofax Mini for most of my university course, because I'm too disorganised to not be able to rearrange the paper later. I now have something ridiculous like 5 of them including A5 and pocket and personal sizes, two fullgrain leather, but I've picked up some blank and ruled notebooks again for more deskwork.

I used moleskin cahiers for lecture and project notes (but not journals). I was required to keep both journals and notes. I have a library of about 15 of these I still read sometimes, all the same size.

Trouble with leather is it's heavy. And so is paper. A good quality thin paper makes a big difference to the practicality of carrying paper... and the legibility and speed of your handwriting.

All the Hobonichi stuff has Tomoe River Paper. They were giving a way a special branded version of a Pentel brush pen with the larger planners but annoyingly it wasn't a refillable one.

I brought some of the broader refillable ones for calligraphy back. I could probably bring over some stuff for you but you'll have to wait until this time next year. If you have a rough idea of wants, they are generally sold alongside racks of replacement inks or cartridges :)

Anyways, i found you couldn't cancel orders and just have to return error purchases, so anyways, i went and ordered the jacket i actually wanted, but when both items arrived, they were so awesome i kept them both.

This was the blocktech weatherproof parka...

Probably not news you want to hear Vermilion... but the jackets are now on sale! £39.99 from £59.99. Just picked up one in olive myself as my usual waterproof is pretty useless in anything more than drizzle.

In preparation for my new TV/Home Cinema/music listening setup I've already splashed out on some speakers

Monitor Audio Bronze (Gen6) C150 in Black

Monitor Audio Bronze (Gen6) 200 in Black (Pair)

The floorstanders were a bit of an accidental bargain as I'd originally ordered an older, cheaper model which the supplier (Exceptional AV) then told me was no longer available but I could upgrade to the £200 more expensive model for £70, how could I refuse?

Is the right one some kind of massive bass port? Interesting designs. At first I thought the bronze coloured tweeter behind mesh was some kind of subtle lighting, like a HAL-like eye

I think it is good, that you choose to enjoy your ears :)

The right one is just what they look like with the magnetic grilles attached, will probably need them on due to a very inquisitive cat, just hope the little sod doesn't decide to use them as scratching posts.

Speaking of Uniqlo I ordered some stuff today for the first time in ages:

Warmer slippers for the winter

Another pair of these joggies since they're on sale

Two of those Airism hoodies. Been after thin hoodies for a while and never knew they sold these.

Plus a couple of boxers.
