I bought this for £5 in Robert Dyas.

Cool any good? How much water is it gathering and did you have problems with condensation on your windows? I saw them inshore too and you can by replacement discs.
My electric Meaco one is pretty good, it comes on and off throughout the day to maintain the humidity which can be programmed.

Condensation is fairly normal and not really possible to eliminate because it will always be colder outside. If it's droplets and dripping with moisture then yeah that creates problems.

You probably made the right choice. My place came with a very good dimplex one. Hydrostat will only turn it on when it exceeds 50% humidity, which saves power.

The others are wasteful. If you have the budget for a proper one and damp is a potential serious issue then they are good.

They also have the advantage of cooling the air in summer as they basically work kind of like a refrigerator. But don't run it too much, it's bad for your lungs to have no moisture in the air.

I only have to empty mine out every couple of days, depending on the weather. I dislike anything you buy over and over again and dispose of each time.

Did you hear about the window which was deemed to have been unjustly subjected to temperature changes? It was awarded a large sum of condensation.

I'll get my coat...

Thanks for the advice. Yeah if its too dry it doesn't feel comfortable either. Like I set it to 35% and woke up feeling like I'd been on a long haul flight all dried out lol. I now have it at 50% also and empty it every few days too :)

Wasn’t that RD commercial in direct response to something else? I think it may have even gone viral. A bit like the Pound Shop’s intentionally lewd twitter posts.

My electric Meaco one is pretty good, it comes on and off throughout the day to maintain the humidity which can be programmed.

Mine is in the bathroom, where I was getting mild condensation on the windows (it needs replacing so I can no longer open it) and some black mould spores. It’s done an excellent job in stopping both. The block gradually dissolves (depending on severity) and fills up the container with bright blue water. Lasts about 2 months for me before it needs replacing. They do scented ones now too, should you want a Glade-style aroma. Costs around £6-8 for a pack of 4, so very economical.

If you have really bad mould, damp, and condensation on the windows in a big room it probably wouldn’t be strong enough though.

Castella tee is back in stock! And in a variety of sizes!!

Bunmeido

Bunmeido is a confectioner focused on castella. It was founded in Nagasaki in 1900. As a manufacturer that has popularized castella throughout Japan, it has maintained its tradition, and it is engaged in manufacturing and selling confectionery products that make customers happy.

:shifty:

I'm putting this ENTIRELY down to the fact, that, I tweeted them about it, and even rated the website negatively :slol:, making a point about this design going out of stock stupidly quickly. BUT! The US site had it down to about $5, but they don't ship abroad, nor do they ship to 3rd party addresses who then send it abroad  :x

I think I'll buy 2...
