The Gromits are all mini versions of those used to create a statue trail in Bristol, i'm really happy with the one i bought, he looks awesome.

Here are some of the other designs: https://gromitunleashedshop.org.uk/coll ... -figurines

It'll go well with a winter coat I have.
I went from wanting to buy all 4 in the collection, to just getting the grey one. That's the best I can do when it comes to buying things I don't need*: I can limit it but not cut it out completely.

*I don't have tweed/wool caps with the chevron pattern, but I do have caps with a similar feel.

Picked up the blue tweed for £23.59 inc. P&P in NewEra BF sale. Would have saved £9 had I waited until today to order both :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :x

My feet got soaked on the way to work yesterday morning and I was squelching around in sodden shoes :x

Grim.

So on the way back to the hotel I had an impulse buy and got some Doc Martins' 1460's Black. My god my feet are toasty today.

Bought an Annoy-o-tron from eBay:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3393797404

Image

Emits a high pitched beep at random intervals between 5 - 120 minutes.
The button battery means it can run for three months!

I've hidden under the veneer in my colleagues desk, inside a tiny gap and glued back over it.

He's off today and tomorrow.
I'll report back Monday.

Edit: it's just gone off. That's amazing! There's no way he'll trace it! :slol:

How will you try to control your laughter so no banana split finds out it was you?

That's hilarious

I stayed in a hotel I Cardiff about a month ago, and was woken up by a loud random beep about 10 times throughout the evening. I wonder if it was the same gadget :x

The house next door is vacant and a fire alarm has been doing this for strawberry floating months.

One of my kids had a musical candle type thing on their birthday cake this year - played a whiny high pitched version of Happy Birthday To You that was supposed to last for a few seconds.

Damn thing broke and would not shut the strawberry float up! As an experiment I put it in a jar in the garage and it's still in there beeping away several weeks later!

 I think that happened at some point in my life as well. I was interested in electronics so I would often break them open. Sometimes they had lights as well.

Trouble was the batteries would be soldered in, so yeah only way to kill it is basically a hammer or acid or fire, all could go wrong.

Yeah I may do a tear down of it just to get a look at what's inside. I had expected the battery to give out by now so I'm quite impressed by it.
