Some of you get loads of stuff as adults.

I got a nice big ergonomic keyboard, a dining in the dark experience, then a few little things like socks and moisturiser.

I got a pillow for the bath and a 5cl bottle of jack.

But then I'm the father of a 3 year old and I'd rather my money went on her.

Received a ridiculous amount of things this year but a lot of it is cheaper than it seems (most of the books were £1-£5):

From the wife:

Die Hard: A Visual History
Counsel to the President by Clark Clifford
Vietnam: Australia's War by Philip Ham(I think that's his name)
Homer's Odyssey by the Four Finger Discount guys
The Northern Lights: A Graphic Novel
Master of Puppets vinyl
A hat and scarf
Phone case

From my mum:

Breath of the Wild
A dashcam (she's bought one for me, my brother, his wife and herself  )

From my brother and his wife:

Mario Kart lounge pants
Boss Dungeon (a card game)

From GR Secret Santa:

Mario Odyssey
Cat treats
Doggy Nerf Gun

It’s not a joke, I literally got nothing but I am sure I will treat myself if I see something I want

Four volumes of the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle upon Tyne from between 1897 and 1903.

A wok.

We have had a very difficult year so decided to splurge on Christmas this time around. Normally I get far less and I do feel spoiled this year.

Sounds..... umm... fun? :|

My haul...

Judgment & Lego Harry Potter (PS4)

Christmas shortbread
Several boxes and tubs of chocs.

Some of the money will be used to buy the Royal Mint annual set on Jan 1st.

My partner's family go much more overboard with Christmas than mine:

From partner:

Ring Fit Adventure
Tenba messenger bag

Her sister:

Strange Planet book
xkcd book
Italian cookbook

Her parents:

A lot of chocolate
The Windrush Betrayal
Portrait of Britain vol. 2
Slipper socks
Bottle of Kraken

I think I've got quite enough Ukiyo-e shirts for the time being, but it did prompt me to buy some button-down shirts and a pair of trousers, so thanks!

From partner:
Link's Awakening
A Hufflepuff woolly hat

From parents:
A slow cooker and accompanying cookbook
A jumper and a shirt
Some chocolates
Hugo Boss perfume/deodorant set

From sister and brother in law:
Diary of a Somebody by Brian Bilston
A cat themed calendar
A fridge magnet photo of my nephew
More chocolates

We're having second Christmas at my girlfriend's parents this weekend. They usually get me a voucher, so I'm hopeful of that again.

I love old books, archaeology and Newcastle so it couldn't have been better really.

I'm 35, Christmas is less about fun and more about stuff I need but can't afford myself.

I got a lot more than I was expecting.
Loads of socks
Loads of chocolate
A mario boo mug that changes colour when you put hot water in it
A few drag race themed items courtesy of my little brother and his missus
2 pairs of slippers
Some new gloves
A new scarf
A new jacket
Some new pajamas

My secret santa stuff was awesome too, I got a beautiful watercolour paint set, a 50p coin holder for my collection and 2 pokemon plushies! I've been spoilt rotten.

I also got christmas day to myself, my partner and ella for the very first time (its normally a big family thing) and I absolutely loved it. I cooked for christmas for the first time and everything went really well!

Ludo is gooseberry fool!
