If I bought a tee from someone and they surprised me with a free item of clothing in the the package, then I would be far more likely to shop with them again. Of course I would see it as a calculated and costed act of retaining my custom, but I'd still appreciate the gesture and be more likely to spend there again. So yeah, those little gestures (which you could target at your more valuable customers), especially for a small company, wouldn't be for 'no reason'. That's you told, you no thread title reading mo fo

Its known as 'random acts of kindness' in the biz. Little packets of things like haribo in with your order give you a nice feeling and also increase the chances of you shopping again.

And I knew you were on about the gaming stamps, and yes it would be a nice touch!

My 2nd piece for summer 2020. (First one was a white New Era X Fresh Ego Kid cap which was on sale.)

Also picked up the DBZ eyes hoodie (I'm out of luck if the sizing for it is closer to the NY Big Apple hoodie than X-MEN - I've ordered 'S' and 'M') and the striped Goku/SS Goku tee.

Yes. I often do it with hand written notes explaining why supporting small business helps every single order on a nice compliment slip which alone gets me reviews.

Sometimes I do drawings and other little graphics thing too, or include stationary. For the past 4 years I've included little painted wooden ladybirds. As I bought like 200 of them when a craft shop was closing down.

I also send photos of making process.

£3 is a bit much though, my prices are higher but my net profits are non existent lol.

Another thing I do is refund shipping overages even if it's just a few pennies and I'm pretty punitive refunding shipping if items are late or I send out two decals making it effectively free. People tell me this is crazy unless the customer asks for it as it is giving money away but I think if people are paying slightly higher than average and there's so much competition they should be rewarded simply for putting their faith in you over all the other options.

I think I will get some of the stamps.

I sell in person and take custom orders at events, producing a lot of singles in one-off colourways, but I have some things on Etsy at the moment. I haven't listed any of my recent designs, I seem to make a few and then never get around to mocking them up for web. Need to get my gooseberry fool together and finish coding an online shop. I was suppose to use half the code for the GRcade shop forever ago and never did it.

I have an A3 printer arriving tomorrow so I'm going to do way more large format illustration i.e. Uniclo style tees this year on light coloured garments rather than just PU films, as I do some fine art work, for example I have illustrations of buildings I like.

Image

Those particular transfers should go on lighter colours, hard to find a balance. The blue one is best and I'll go less saturated next time. 2 of those are sold now anyway.

Two of those are XXL, doesn't really fit  That's why A3 will come in handy.

 I remember every job, that one was what call pigment opaque now I believe. Lightfast and washfast 40-60C and goes on any colour so works well for stuff that starts life online I.e. No transparencies. I went at least two years terrified that my own full colour stuff just wouldn't be good enough and then realised using the best stuff available on the market and maximum print quality, people have been doing it for stonking ages and I was just turning down full colour for no reason at all. Epsons most recent precisioncore printheads are better than laser. You just don't need like a 2000 quid printer to do these, most of it comes down to diligence with the artwork and getting that right. And maintaining your printer. That said, after 4 years I've just replaced one that was triggering me on test prints, it probably adds up in the long run.

Which reminds me, I need to do new GRcade tees the same way on super fresh soft teed that came in last year :toot:

Who's up for a GRcade pocket print? I.e. On an actual pocket tee. I'm all over those.

But I just remembered... The reason I've been putting off a new grc line (back to my roots  ) is logo redesign. I had one job (besides the jobs I've simply generated over the years)...

Qiqz has two done the same way, I spent a couple hours upressing and drawing some bits to get a good print, and tred to match blue to shirt (that was hard, I think I printed it twice over and used loads of ink. So I've got my own Qiqz streamer shirt on the shelves if I ever want one lol)

I have literal nightmares of shirts disintegrating and mutating into weird things, if that does doesn't show I care I'm in the wrong job :slol:

I also have nightmares of melting lizards as I used to have 15 phelsuma grandis geckos :dread:

I need to go to bed, I was just answering Facebook messages at 3:30am after updating my artist website for weird high brow stuff.

O neat. I think. Uniqlo has updated their site. Quick View has turned into Quick Shop - if you now hover over what used to be Quick View, it'll gives you the available sizes to select from and order straight from there. I wish the Quick View was still there as sometimes the site can be slow to go to the tee specific page.

Graffiti artist tee range coming on FEB 3.

I'll be wearing it layered so hopefully it won't look as loud as it does there.

It's rare that I buy anything over like a tenner these days, but I am looking forward to printing reproductions of my work (my printheads have been knackered for ages so it was barely squeezing anything out on maximum quality I could actually use, so that's relegated to printing postage now), I've wanted a large format printer for ages. It's strawberry floating massive though so I pretty much immediately nicknamed it "Fattie" which is my aunt's cat come to think of it :toot: (no idea if it's still alive, but it's a black burmese/siamese cross, probably appropriate).

Image

I also have a stupid folder full of perfectly flat A3 media that I never draw on, so I can use that as good cardstock to start producing and mounting prints.

Selling a few to family within the week to pay for the £100 worth of ink once the starter carts dry up :slol:

Something bit more sensible as I was looking at something around the £5,000 mark in December. Then I realised that was mental and I'll need to do better for a couple of years before I can start doing giant runs of stickers etc.

Image
(What a strawberry floating horrible design that's "printing" :dread:)

That's also a contour cutter, only a bit bigger; I already own a pro grade plotter cutter (which will take A3) - set me back almost a grand a few years ago. I've almost paid off the loan. :dread:

With the two together, and a a few extra steps, I can do big sheets of stickers. They'll just be inkjet, so can't print on plastic film, but tbh, the inkjet media is pretty impressive anyway. Want to get some stickers of monsters etc out there in the wild.

This rarely ends well, btw. It's no surprise at all that one of these is pictured in somebody's driveway. Guess the price :dread:

That was quick, doesn’t feel like it launched that long ago.

Yeah, I was surprised by that as well.

Oh wow. I just checked the range and there isn't a single sell out in any of the sizes. So I'm gonna jump to the conclusion that it's selling VERY poorly and that's why it's on sale so quickly.

Damn, would have thought Fortnite gear would have been pretty popular.
