Yeah I guess you guys are right.

Not even "An overwhelming surplus of diggity" could make R&B any good.

I used to listen to quite a lot of R&B (and rap and hiphop) in my early teens as one of my cousins went through a phase of making monthly mixtapes for me.

I don't particularly care for those genres these days but some of the early to mid 90's stuff was a big part of my musical 'upbringing'.
