My brother had that on his first laptop, unfortunately, said laptop was running Windows ME, which meant despite the fact that he paid a lot of money for high technical specs, the shitty operating system was always going to cause trouble.

It did just that when he decided to 'update' the Kazaa software, and it crashed the system so badly that he spent ages with the thing in safe mode just trying to figure out what had happened.

Yep, i remember when my brother would allow me to spend a few minutes browsing the web on said ME laptop, i'd get started, then about 30 seconds in the whole thing would freeze and couldn't be restarted unless you pulled the entire battery out.

He paid £2000 for a high spec laptop, and that's what he ended up with.
