Pikuniku is an absurdly wonderful puzzle-exploration game that takes place in a strange but playful world where not everything is as happy as it seems.
Help peculiar characters overcome struggles, uncover a deep state conspiracy, and start a fun little revolution in this delightful dystopian adventure!
I finished this last night, although I believe I have more secrets left to find and I have yet to play the co-op levels. It's a delightful bite-size game, and while not as kafkaesque as I had hoped from the previews and trailers it is still suitably dystopic and absurd.
Visually the game is a pleasure, with bold and flat colours reminiscent of Loco Roco and Hohokum, and very much with the same vibe as a Keita Takahashi designed game (it only makes me want Wattam to come quicker, and I really should pick up Katamari on Switch).
The music and sound design is also a highlight, with one of the main recurring themes immediately putting me in mind of Mystical Ninja.
The music and visual design also makes me think of Lovely Planet, which I've just found out has two sequels, so on an unrelated note at some point I need to have a look into those!
Anyone else picked this up or planning on giving it a go? It makes for a perfect little palette cleanser game imo between more lengthy investments, and is probably going to get unfortunately skipped over.
