Googled a bit but couldn't find anything solid on the resolution apart from it not being native 4K, which is shocking when its darn ugly compared to beauties that have appeared on PS4. Not even played it yet, I think I burnt myself out on it as it's been a while since even playing it Xbone.
Definitely worse looking than it is on Xbone. More pop in and at times I've died due to not being able to make out other players. Smooth though and there's been no playdough effect buildings when landing.
PS4 version is strawberry floated for me. Tried playing last night but was hit with network lag bug, same today too and my Sky router has had a reboot everything is as it should be on speed testing via my phone and network settings on the PS4. Xbone version, not a problem.
Bloody PS4 and Sky Q. Was the wifi in 5ghz causing problems, connected via ethernet for now and using wifi on Xbox but just using the 2.4 frequency in PS4s network settings in case I have to pop the ethernet cable back in the Xbox which should stop those stupid connection drops. 2 flawless games today and both games chicken dinners in solo
On January 22, we will be updating live servers to Update #4! This update will include the new snow-themed map, Vikendi, the Survivor Pass: Vikendi, a new vehicle and new weapons, along with many quality of life and bug fixes.
Tried it just now after the new and its gooseberry fool. They've tried to make the parachuting more real and it's slow and clumsy as strawberry float now. Attachments are majorly scarce, just killed 5 players and that was before being cock of the prison and checking everywhere and not once did I find a scope in any of the buildings or on dead bodies.
This update may go down as one of the worst yet for PUBG on console. Generally, with each update PUBG has gotten better but this update has major MAJOR issues.
The first and most pressing one is that the UI is broken. First off, for reasons unknown, the 'leave party' option has vanished. This means that if your'e in a squad and one player doesn't want to play another game one of the squad has to go back to the home pubg screen and load back in then re-invite everyone. Secondly, after every round, most if not all of us had to close down the game and boot it back up from scratch because it wouldn't allow us to 'ready up'. Thirdly, map selection and game type needs you to double tap to select, which is not written anywhere and we only got through trial an error.
Then there's Vikendi itself, I loved it on the PTS and it is a great map but it has a massive bug which means building don't load up at all (not even playdough) until your'e on top of them (this was for all of us across X1X, S and base), again, this is not happening on the other maps. It's really REALLY bad and wasn't present at all in the PTS, in fact, I can't remember when a PTS build was better than the main game patch but here we are.
The only plus is the new parachuting system, it's more fluid and less rigid so I like it. The Graphical options on X mean 1440p or full 4K and I don't know if there's no post processing but 1440p has the appearance of 720p on a 4K TV. I literally couldn't believe my eyes, how on earth the PS4 Pro only has this option is bizarre. I tried to stick with it but I couldn't, not only was everything aliased to f**k but there was significant pop in (I presume it wouldn't look as bad in 1080p). Mate and I had to got back to 4K, which while is still a bit rough, the resolution bump irons a lot of it out.
Very, VERY disappointing.
EDIT: For bonus meme's when this update dropped, for some reason my update was 16gb (full one is 19.9gb) I didn't think much about it until update finished and I launched game and it said at top of screen [80% DOWNLOADED YOU CAN'T PLAY UNTIL INSTALLED] but my Xbox wasn't downloading anything so nothing happened cos as far as it was concerned, it updated. Had to delete the entire game and re-download it.
Big update to fix Vikendi and bring in night time, new gun and new damage system on PS4 and Xbox.
(xbox patch notes):
We’re excited to bring you the next content update for console on March 5! In this update we are implementing many performance and bug fixes, especially related to Vikendi.
This update also includes the new weapon Bizon, as well as a new attachment called the Canted Sight. In addition, we’re adding a new weather setting on Vikendi called Moonlight, where you’ll get to enjoy taking down your enemies in the night as the super moon and aurora borealis guide you to victory.
Lastly, to thank everyone to sticking with us through all of the issues especially related to Vikendi, we have prepared a token of our appreciation. The 'Level 20 Up' ticket will automatically be distributed into the inventory for everyone who logs into the game, from the time the maintenance ends until April 5.
Please note that the 'Level 20 Up' ticket can be applied to the upcoming pass after the current Survivor Pass: Vikendi ends. If you have already achieved level 100 or do not want to use the ticket on the current pass, you are more than welcome to save it for the future pass.

In a statement, Greene said he was moving from Seoul to Amsterdam to lead a new division of PUBG Corp. called PUBG Special Projects.
While Greene remains a "consulting creative director" on PUBG, development of the battle royale phenomenon is now led by Taeseok Jang and the PUBG team.
