Sup GRcade, I come for your help and knowledge. Just upgraded my old 1TB HDD to a SDD and transferred all my movies across however, my tv won’t find it. Any idea if its possible to get the TV to read it?

Is the SSD able to draw enough power from the TV? That might be the issue

I have a powered usb on the tv which powers my HDD version.

I didn’t think SSD’s used powers as they don’t have powered moving parts and work like a flash pen. (Which also work in non powered usb slots)

They still need to draw power! It's not loads but it can still cause issues if the source isn't providing enough.

How is the drive formatted? The TV may not be able to recognise and read it if you are using the default GPT formatting and may need to switch to an older format
