I think the E3 folder shows that the PS3 is still the least popular console on this forum

That's because half the posts in the 360 thread are you talking about Just Dance  :fp:

 I want a Natal Just Dance though

Isn't ZOE3 rumoured every year?

Anyway, Uncharted 2 SP DLC would be nice if it comes true.

I bought two of them then  I bought my brother a copy for his birthday that year

I bought one too.

E3 then eh...I'm going to stick my neck out, as usual, and say Demos's Souls 2 will be announced. It's clear that Sony should have done more and it's been over a year since the release of the original. Good time to ride the continued buzz of the original just before it launches in Europe.

I hope that - if they did - they'd make it a touch easier. "Part of its appeal", my arse.
Did you eventually get the game, Stef?

Yep I did. Not played much of it yet though.

EDIT: Reminds me I need to ask about something in the main DS topic.

I'm hoping Royal Mail sorted you out fella.

What? Why? I still got the refund receipt. Pursue it and I'll help.

Apart from that Buffa...HAPPY BIRTHDAY fella.

The only proof they want is my receipt...so no refunds for me :(
Thanks for the birthday wishes

That's simply NGE. That receipt is half the story...I have the other.

Enquiries I shall make.

Loads of people seem to think that PS2 backward compatibility is coming in a future firmware update. But if the UK launch models that used a mixed hardware/software emulation method didn't manage to get all old games working, surely a software-only one (to account for all models) isn't going to work all that well? Or am I missing something?

I'd be surprised if they do too much of the presentation in 3D - they know thousands watch it on the web and the subsequent US store downloads...

Edit: forgot to say, and others have pointed it out, but PS2 "classics" on the store is more likely, which is presumably possible with a bit of tweaking. But I wouldn't expect either your old discs to work, or for there to be a PSP2 announcement. (And I put "classics" in inverted commas because if you remember, Sony took ages to actually release a decent amount of the good oldies, in the UK at least... but hopefully they've learned their lesson there)

I'm about to move house and on the verge of trading loads of awesome PS2 games, probably for pennies. If I hold on to them, BC won't happen and I'll have less shelf space. If I trade them, it'll be announced within about 24 hours.

Should I take one for the team?!

Backwards compatibility is never going to be added with a firmware patch and you can hold me to that. People can come up with as many theories as they like but it's technically impossible to emulate PS2 hardware accurately on PS3 without the graphics synthesizer onboard. It will be possible on a game by game basis with modified code for each game, so we'll probably end up seeing them on PSN.

They'd never do it now anyway. Make way more money releasing them as downloads or 'hd' ing them up.

Two pages :|

I'm actually pretty excited about Sony's conference now, since we know that inFamous 2 will be shown in some form. There's surely going to be some surprises since they seem to be content with revealing every game possible before E3.

Has anything been said about the chances of PSP 2 being mentioned?

That's what I'm worried about. They (or who ever is leaking the stuff) have shot their load far too early and the things they have shown don't interest me at all. Didn't this happen last year?

Move baby  And another PSP push

Nah I kid, I will be happy to see on stage demos of all the games announced so far.

Still can't believe they are pushing the PSP again :fp:

If the 3DS ends up blowing everyone away, it will just end up looking a bit stupid.

Indeed. I am rather worried that they will rush a PSP2 to market.
