I'm pernickety when it comes to box artwork for games, these days--especially on the Playstation 3, where I've been relatively crestfallen by some of the images Sony has awarded to European releases.

This holds true for Resident Evil 6. I'd very much like to get ahold of the game in English--but I want the Japanese artwork instead of that of the European edition. It's possible to achieve this objective by picking up the Asian edition of the game, which possesses English text and the Japanese cover. The problem pertains to the quality of the printing. A cursory search of the web leads me to believe that the colours for the Asian edition are washed out compared to the Japanese or Korean alternatives.

Basically, I'd like to know whether the washed out colours that I've found for the Asian edition are the product of bad scanning/photography or if they're genuinely representative of the printing used for the product. It might also be that the Japanese version's cover has been saturated artificially. I want to believe the first possibility because I have an Asian edition of Tales of Xillia 2 of very decent quality--but I cannot say for certain, in this instance.

Does anybody have any guidance or experiences when purchasing Asian editions of PS3 games? I'd appreciate any anecdotes on the subject, even if they don't pertain to Resident Evil 6 and this sort of artwork specifically.

Thanks to everyone for their time.
