I gave SotC an hour or two last year and it didn’t really click with me. It just seemed like it was going to be a collection of well designed boss fights, with a barren hub world. Is there more to it than that?

The barren world is kind of the point though. The Colossi are laying dormant until disturbed.

It's possibly my favourite game of all time.

Yeah I get that...I just found it a dull. I only gave it a couple of hours though.

Do I look like her as well? Pics plz.
For the 3 of us who play in 4K(ish) on PS Pro, Shadow of the Colossus looks ‘da bomb’. Screenshot buttons at the ready.

The slow realisation of the story is good too, but basically yes the game is a series of boss fights separated by lonely travel. That's a really good thing tho

The first part appeals to me and to be fair, the boss fights I did were very well done.

Perhaps i'll give it another go, I can't see it being a long game to beat.

Does anyone know if the codes that are marked US on CD Keys need a US account to use them?

Rumour that Sony are helping with a reboot of the Silent Hill franchise

https://www.resetera.com/threads/rumor-sony-rebooting-silent-hill-series.174815/

Our first source, who we’ve come to trust well, indicates that Keiichiro Toyama (director and writer of the original 1999 Silent Hill) and Akira Yamaoka (composer for the majority of the franchise) are also returning alongside Masahiro Ito. The trio will helm a “soft reboot” of the Silent Hill series, possibly just called Silent Hill. SIE Japan Studio, which possibly includes team members from “Project Siren,” the group behind Siren: Blood Curse for the PlayStation 3, will be behind its development in some capacity (either in full or in part). Our source states that this title has been in the works for about a year. Our second source — which has no connection to the first — was aware of Ito’s involvement in a new Silent Hill title and informed us of that information some time ago.

The second Silent Hill title referenced in previous rumors is still being worked out at the moment, but it’s looking as if it very well could be Silent Hills, Hideo Kojima’s famously canceled title. According to our first source, Sony is working to patch up the relationship between Kojima Productions and Konami in order to resurrect the game due to the amount of buzz and continued demand for it five years after its cancellation; our second source shared this same information with us in the past. We can now report on it with some confidence in its legitimacy.

Long Live Switch Squad!

I can see there's not much interest around Nioh 2 here so it's prob not worth making its own topic. Game feels like a dream so far, can't wait to dig into it more. It's good to be back. Need to iron out my bad Souls habits first tho since I recently finished 3 lol. But once everything clicks the combat in Nioh is just sublime.

I grabbed the first Nioh recently when it came to PS+ but it didn't really click with me, just felt like a poor Souls-like. Probably need to give it more of a chance

Outside borrowing a few staple mechanics, it's nothing really like a Miyazaki Souls game once you dig into it more. It just needs to be approached a bit differently. Not saying Nioh didn't have its fair share of problems because they were many flaws with things like item management and such. Personally I always thought the first game felt like a test of different ideas thrown together. I'd say Nioh 2 is a much better starting point now because they cleaned a lot of that up.

Woke up this morning still feeling mentally drained so thought, strawberry float it, I'm going to treat myself to Red Dead Redemption 2.

100GB download is going to take 10 hours :fp:

I shouldn't be surprised. Looks like I'll just crack on with Bloodborne.

That's funny, I felt like picking up where I left off with RDR2 last night... But fell asleep instead.

Maybe I will!

Apparently Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2 are the next batch of PS+ games.

Ooh, I hope so! I've been wanting to try Uncharted 4 (I saw Matt/TWA stream it and it looked neat) and I quite fancy a go at a rally game... although I've read that Rally 2.0 is pretty barebones unless you get the season pass(es).
