Have about 200GB free
Begin downloading Battlefront 2
"You need more space"
See download size is actually about 113GB. Nah you're alright
Deleted download
*a few hours later*
Sees Warzone has a new 50 v 50 mode that sounds gooseberry fool hot
Redownload Warzone

Why did I do this?

I keep doing this with Warzone. I strawberry floating hate it :fp:  Always a huge huge update.

How dangerous is it to share PSN account details so someone can play a game? Someone wants to play my TLOU 2 and I don't mind but they're not the most reliable of people. I assume the fact it's linked to my email account means I'd always be able to do a password reset.

Before anyone asks they're family so it's one of those things.

I think the danger comes from the other person and than anything else. Go for it, if you trust them. Activate 2FA just in case, though: https://support.playstation.com/s/artic ... uage=en_GB

Cheers I'll do that.

Yeah that's what I mean, I don't think this will happen but if they have my details to someone else could I be signed out of my own PS4?

If they're malicious, they could probably change the email address and steal the account.

If they're just dumb, they could spend a load of money if you have a card linked to your account (your card will automatically be saved when you use it in the store because PSN is terrible, so unless you manually remove it which is a faff it will be linked) or idk get your account banned by sending abusive messages or something. You can judge how much of a risk that is!

Lots of people do share accounts, but yeah you want to trust the person you're sharing with. My PS account is on a couple of friend's playstations for example!

Even if you do trust them there is some risk you'd get burned if say they sold their PS4 to buy a PS5 without factory resetting it and then some random stranger potentially gets access to your account. You can remotely deactivate your account on a PS4, so you could always let them play TLOU2 and then deactivate the account remotely afterwards.

How could they steal my account? To be honest they're not malicious, just a bit dumb. Could I just let the play TLOU and just change my password?

Couldn't you set your PS4 as the "main" ps4 and then give them family access? Is that how it works? Or does it have to be on the same wifi?

If I remember right, your library can be played by anyone on your "main" PS4, but you need to use your own account on any "secondary" PS4 to play your games.

So basically, your friend's PS4 would be your main, but your own PS4 would be the secondary, requiring you to be signed in at all times to play. But short of your internet dropping out, that shouldn't be an issue.

Thought I'd give Battlefront 2 a go.

It's gooseberry fool. Casual Team Deathmatch in a hangar.

Here is a pretty up-to-date (16-6-20) Digital Foundry article that might be of help: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digi ... hard-drive
