I’d see it as more “a meaningless number that doesn’t change for years at a time” vs “a meaningless number that you can actually progress without no-lifing and potentially compete with your friends on”

I'm level 277, whatever that means.

I'm more interested in seeing the obtained percentages, rather than just number go up.

My rarest is probably the Yakuza 0 Platinum- 0.7% :datass:

Someone has figured out the calculation method. Platinum trophies now carry much more weight.

https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/964 ... l-formula/

New trophy point values:
Bronze: 15
Silver: 30
Gold: 90
Platinum: 300

The only difference above is that platinum trophies are now worth more (300 points instead of 180). The values of bronze, silver, and gold trophies did not change.

New trophy level calculation:
Once again, the trophy level calculation is not a smooth curve, but rather has cut-offs. Here is how it works:
Levels 1 - 99: 60 points (4 bronzes) per level up
Levels 100 - 199: 90 points (6 bronzes) per level up
Levels 200 - 299: 450 points (30 bronzes) per level up
Levels 300 - 399: 900 points (60 bronzes) per level up
Levels 400 - 499: 1350 points (90 bronzes) per level up
Levels 500 - 599: 1800 points (120 bronzes) per level up
Levels 600 - 699: 2250 points (150 bronzes) per level up
Levels 700 - 799: 2700 points (180 bronzes) per level up
Levels 800 - 899: 3150 points (210 bronzes) per level up
Levels 900 - 999: 3600 points (240 bronzes) per level up

Platinuming a single game gets you to level 23 now. It takes a total of 1631340 points to reach level 999, which equals roughly 1200 full games platinumed.

I couldn’t get my head around that shitty tiles mini game in every Yakuza game. Mahjong can strawberry float off.

I never even touched Mahjong or Shogi, I just palmed them off on the missus- she loves 'em! :slol:

New PlayStation feature: View all your PS4 and PS5 purchases via a web browser. If you bought a PS4 back in 2013 it makes is much easier to look back to your first downloads although you can't see the exact download date as on PS3.

It also doesn't do too good a job at tracking played games. (Apparently the earliest I played a PS4 games was June 6th of this year )

The latest firmware (8.0.0) is broken. You can't load friends lists, and apparently it's broken online features in games. :fp:

What on earth have they done  It's literally just taken half an hour to even make and join a party! And I think we just got lucky there. All I want to do is play Human Fall Flat :( Sony has ruined my week.

So amongst the PS store changes coming later this month they are removing the wishlist feature :| That's pretty damn annoying, I have like 80 items on there and use it to keep track of stuff when it goes on sale.

Anyone surprised we haven't seen a lower priced ps4 in time for Christmas? Currently there won't be much difference between the ps4 and Xbox Series S.

Edit. I was thinking buy now they could do a £149 ultra slim ps4

Hopefully they wait until mine is sold to announce anything like that! I've got my Player Edition PS4 (two controllers, camera, Killzone) up on ebay at the minute and it's currently at £65, closing on Friday. What's more surprising is how much interest there has been in the Gold headset that I also put up (£25 and over 10 watchers). All proceeds to the PS5 and UHD TV fund. :)

I would suggest make a hard copy of your games wishlist and then add them back when the new service goes live.

It's incredible how the PS4 has held a pretty high pricing point. Stock seems to be low, too; Amazon UK currently doesn't appear to have any PS4 consoles (only via other sellers).

When the PS2 launched the PS1 remained a big seller for some time but it kinda feels like Sony is trying to shift consumer focus onto the PS5 with the PS4 hardware getting a low profile. Maybe a smaller, cheaper PS4 is on the way and that'd be cool; although I hope the build quality and design is better than Sony's last version of the PS3. Although the PS4 has already sold well, there could be healthy profit there by catering to the maybe younger, more price-conscious sector of the market.

EDIT: GAME maybe has the cheapest current offering; PS4 (500 Gb) console with FIFA 19 (!) for £199.99.

EDIT 2: Neither Amazon, GAME or Argos seem to have PS4 Pro consoles available.
