I wasn't that fussed about my PSN name at first but over the last few years, the reason behind changed a lot so it feels outdated every time I look at it now. So this is very much welcomed finally.

Having a weird problem charging my controllers on my PS4 slim.

So my original controller (got with my Slim back in September 2017) is low on battery. I've tried charging it via the Slim's USB slots, and through a Samsung wall plug charger (which works fine charging other stuff) and it's not charging at all. I figured it was time I opened a brand new controller I got a few months back to try that, and the same thing is happening: I can turn the controller on, but as it's been sat on my shelf for a few months it understandably needs charging. But it's not working, via the PS4 or a wall socket. I just don't get it, 2 controllers (one a year old but never had problems with it, and a brand new one) and 2 different ways of charging but nothing is working.

Any ideas?

Similar issues have plagued iPhones a couple of times too. Amazes me how people find this stuff out to begin with.

Seems Sony are having a lot of issues tonight as I have tried to log on and every verication code they sent me wasn’t recognised. Messaged them and they said there are issues with getting into accounts......I smell a rat

Sony has sent out invites for PS4 firmware beta 6.10 allowing people to change their username...
I wish I had a bad username so I could change it to something better but I kinda like mine. Although I might change it to Photek.

Anyone had a problem with the PS4 not going into rest mode after the preset time in "power saving" settings?

In the past couple of months mine seems to be ignoring these settings, leaving it to be left on fully for multiple days. Can't figure out why it is doing this.

I’ve heard that people who have their consoles on sleep mode not downloading any updates or games.

Perhaps you should try initialisating it, and failing that a factory reset.
