As jawa says I'm pretty sure it's defragmentation. It won't happen on a new console, and you'll start to notice it once the HDD gets full and you've deleted a few games, so the free space is no longer bunched together.

Ahh I see, that makes sense now.

Ok, if I get a PSVR, is having a normal PS4 gonna be a bit not good for it and would I be best getting a pro?

I have a Pro, but I know a few people who don't (and have PSVR) and they don't have any problems with it.

If you want the absolute best PSVR experience you can get then sure a Pro might help, but I don't think its a must have to enjoy PSVR.

Pedz, are you ready to step into a whole new world?

PS I take it you're looking at the Mega Pack? It's sold out at Amazon but still at Argos.

I can't afford it outright so was looking on Very as it's the same price... Well £309 with ace combat 7 and a move controller added.

Baffling that Sony haven’t sorted out move controllers supply. It’s still going for stupid prices.

When creating the PS4 Sony tried several DualShock 4 designs.

GameInformer wrote:The controllers in the image all look somewhat similar, but there some key differences to highlight. Take a look at the one of the models near the top, for example, the one with the circuit board sticking out of it. Notice the size of the touchpad - it's huge! It's certainly more prominent then it is in the final version of the controller, which hints that Sony likely considered making it a much bigger part of the controller's identity than it already is, certainly beyond relegating it to the equivalent of the Xbox One's "back" button in most games (which is more or less what it is now).

A few prototypes are far more tame, however, as you can see more than a few versions of the controller that are more or less the DualShock 2 or 3 controller with a slight modification or two. A few of them also feature a different-sized bumps on the grips, which shows that at some point Sony was hoping to give the controller a bit more girth and comfort without actually expanding this size of the grip itself.

Then there's the left-most controller near the center, which: No.

One final thing to point out is that although a couple of the prototypes feature a layout where both analog sticks are on top or the outer edges of the controller (as on the Wii U and its pro controller), not one protype shown in this image uses the Xbox's asynchronous analog stick layout. So it doesn't look like that was in ever in the cards for Sony's controller.

Yep, it still seems that Move and Gun controllers can't be purchased for "normal" prices anywhere and it's been like this since I picked up PSVR at the start of December. I don't quite get how Sony did so well in raising the profile of PSVR and offering attractive pricing... whilst simultaneously halting the supply of the associated peripherals.

I suspect the success of PSVR has even surprised Sony.

I'm optimistic that PSVR 2 will be available for next gen and it should be a pretty decent upgrade as the screens available now are way better than those in the PSVR and next gen should have enough oomph to power 2x2k screens which is the resolution I'd go with if I was helping decide the specs.

I wonder if they'll be able to shove in HDR as well as that could turn it into a real alternative large screen for those that don't yet have a 4K set or just don't have the space for a big TV. The PSVR can be used like that but it's a little low res.

I really hope they can fix the drift issue with PSVR 2 though as it's quite annoying and new controllers are a must have feature.

Below are some of the issues you may encounter. We expect major issues to occur only in a small number of games.

Your previous Online ID may remain visible to you and other players in some areas.
You may lose progress within games, including game saved data, leaderboard data, and progress towards Trophies.
Parts of your game and applications may not function properly both online and offline.
You may lose access to content (including paid-for content) that you may have acquired for your games including content like add-ons and virtual currency.

that's a yikes hard pass for me.

This is cool for people who want to change their username but, man, any name-change process that requires eighteen "FAQs" and different lists of affected / unaffected games would make me think twice about leaping straight into using it. Thankfully I'm happy with my existing ID!

I hadn't seen the small print.

I'll give it a few weeks to see what the reported issues are like.

Really want to change my name from P3DZy1984 to P3DZ, but I would rather not lose stuff I have paid for. I was typing I'll lose P.T. also but remembered I had to format my factory reset my PS4 to get it to stop randomly turning on/off.

I'm lucky I don't have to change my name as my link to Regis555 should be pretty obvious to everyone.

I think you can all agree that image is what instantly springs to mind when you think of me.
