PSN downloads can be gooseberry fool.
Make sure you're not doing anything else at the same time. It doesn't like doing more than 1 thing.

It can download on rest mode though, so good to set overnight.

Yeah downloading in rest mode is handy, I think I'll be taking advantage of that as much as possible to get stuff overnight.

Can you trigger downloads remotely?

Depends what you mean - you can download from the store page (LIKE IF SOMEONE SENT YOU A BLOODBORNE DEAL)

You can download new purchases or anything you've previously bought. (You need the PS4 in rest mode)

The PS4 automatically downloads updates...but it's...finikity.;

It's something odd (that no one understands) - but seems to be it's last X played games it actively looks for.

But it also does odd things (e.g. Destiny "big" patches don't seem to download...or install...until you actually turn the PS4 on)

Why are the download speeds so slow on PSN? I get ~75Mbps on Steam but the PS4 seems to be going at about 10-15!

Have you got a hard wired connection, that helps.

Also, you can stand it vertical if you like :simper:

I've tried wired and wireless and it doesn't seem to make much difference unfortunately!

I've stood it up but the blurb from Sony makes it very clear you should be using the official vertical stand to achieve such a configuration!

Interesting, seems to help for me, ah well.

Well, they would sat that :simper:

Cool, yeah I just meant if I bought something from the store on my phone or PC I could then trigger the PS4 to start downloading it.

Between the PSN setup (where some arse face has stolen my name!) and system updates I didn't get to play much in the way of games yet though!

There's an option somewhere in settings to reduce the number of tiles.

And ends without being finished. I can't criticise you on BB jawa. I didn't finish it, but then I wasn't enjoying it.

I really enjoyed Bloodborne albeit I haven't yet got past Cleric Beast. Even getting to that point I felt like I'd achieved something! The artistic design, for both the environment and the characters, is superb.

You'd absolutely breeze through that now.

Wipeout is phenomenal, and packed with content, but it's over 2 years old. And I already own it.

I think Sniper Elite 4 is also supposed to be very good though. I vaguely remember the original on PS2.

Got £35 PSN credit for £29.99 on CD Keys and picked myself up Rez Infinite and God of War. Completely opposite games. Excited.

Nice, always planned on getting Wipeout but never got round to it and I know I have Sniper Elite 3 on PS4 but not 4.

As a new owner of the console I welcome any and all PS plus games!

Do they tend to be a mix of older and more obscure stuff or have they chucked some recent and high profile titles into the mix in the past?

They never offer anything of real value. It's a complete con.

Anyone else find the optical drive on this thing really bloody loud? I know it's only really used when installing games and then verifying the disc on loading a game but my word does it make a racket!

Sounds like the thing is trying to take off or drill into the floor or something! "Hello, Sony? I ordered a games console not a piece of fracking equipment FFS!"
