Regardless of what they are, I will diligently add them to my library and then never play them, much like I have done for the past 36 months.

My PS+ sub is up in the new year; not sure I can justify the spend on it this time round. Can't remember the last time I played a PS4 game.

I do that too.

To be fair since my daughter has taken ownership of my original PS4 (using my account) I did download for her a few suitable games. My sub ends in January, but as long as she is still enjoying Fortnite I'll have to renew it. The moment she loses interest in the game (which might be a while) I'll ditch the sub.

Pretty sure you don't need PS+ to play Fortnight and other F2P games online.

Mine has been excellent. So good i actually bought a clip for it. Far better than my Vita has ever been, even on the 2.4ghz network, better still on 5ghz. I did need the Ps4 to be wired though. When on wifi it was very choppy. Enter the Gungeon worked excellently, and any lag etc is really pronounced on that (something i have learned from playing it on vita rp and also co op using share play when my friend has been hosting - its basically unplayable in that situation).

Only issue i have is the crazy battery drain. 5 minutes drained the phone by 10%. And the battery on my phone has never run flat in a days normal use for me. So long term it looks like an impractical choice, which is a shame as it worked so well.

Might look at using it a bit more but need to get a decent clip for the controller - which one did you use kazanova? Would you recommend it?

I’m on paternity leave so I’m not really in a position to report on this (and I’d be doing that on Kotaku not here), but if what I’ve heard is true, it’s a bit surprising but ultimately not a big deal. People will be disappointed for a few minutes and then get over it. Many people here have guessed it already. I’d be more specific if I had more details - I’ll see what I can get in between feedings.

This was the clip i bought. Build quality is not great, but it does the job fine. What isn't fine is the battery drain on my phone, which means its impractical to actually use the feature. I tend to use my iPad or Vita now (got a new router since writing my previous post, everything connects flawlessly since then).
But yeah, if you want a clip and are getting fair battery life, that one is probably worth the money. Its a tight fit on the controller, but i have been able to clip and unclip without it breaking.

There’s 100m PS4s in the world, and the PS5 will likely sell, 15m-20m in its’ first 12 months? It definitely won’t sell as much as it would with a dual release but if Sony are confident in its’ quality, maybe they’re going to use its’ release to push PS5 launch sales.
