Yeah I always think of Ground Zeroes as the Tanker to Phantom Pains Big Shell. It's a smaller and tighter experience but makes use of most of the same mechanics.

Some locations in MGSV make use of similar traits as the base in Ground Zeroes but nothing ever quite reaches the same heights IMO.

Ah that settles it then, because the tanker in MG2 was brilliant and easily the best part of the game.

Nioh is actually pretty damn good. The start is not as hard as the demo I had played previously and it is like a slighly more stylish and faster paced dark souls. The graphics are decent, but not amazing and I prefer to play in high resolution mode to see the full benefits on a 4K screen. I saw that the shadow movements on Nioh 2 Beta were immediately static when 60fps mode was enabled!

Good atmosphere and I hope that I stick with it. I do hope there is the ability to summon online help when I am eventually stuck...

It's got a few scenarios on the same map which change things up and add some replay value.

I'm not sure if it's applicable but if you've had your PS4 a while and you're the kind of person who adds every PS+ title, you might already own a copy. If not and you're not in any rush, it's usually £3.29 in the sales on the PS Store and I imagine they'll have one for Black Friday in a few weeks.

Sure enough, the definitive edition is £5.79 on the PS Store at the moment, so I'll probably pick that up.

I've only ever played demos and DmC, and none of 'em won me over. My options were DMC5 and AC Odyssey and I still felt it was too soon after Origins to play another AC. So DMC5 it was.

I tried DMC5 about 2 months ago and it didn’t click with me. The best DMC game is the Ninja Theory one.

I hated that. It kept throwing weapons at me every 5 minutes.

The Ninja Theory one? I can’t remember having too many weapons, I may have just stuck to what I wanted though.

I think so. (The one stylised as DmC?) Opening takes place in their old house and it's like each rooms throws a new one weapon at you to get familiar with.

After the bit where he busts out of the caravan? It’s been ages since I last played but yeah, it’s the one they named DmC

Right what's all this then? :capnscotty:

I've only ever played DMC1 and 3, they were both good games. I heard tale that the 2nd game and the Ninja Theory one were shite. That is all the DMC related information I have at my disposal. ;)

December Plus games: Titanfall 2, Monster Energy Supercross. First I've heard of the latter.
