They’re not going to change the look of the base PS4 to match the look of the Pro, to only then change the look of the Pro.

Completely forgot Dragon's Crown Pro is out tomorrow. Cross-play and cross-save with the PS3 and Vita versions. Anyone else getting it?

Still got it on the Vita that I occasionally play. Not ridiculously far into it, I don’t think. My knight in it is lit 8-)

Can't remember how far I got in the Vita version but I might just start a new game. I remember you have to play for quite a bit before you can actually play online with people which was really annoying.

I think I’m past that point. I unlocked the stables fairly recently, and can’t fast travel as easily as I used to...something about a random dungeon you have to re-trek through first.
At least, I HOPE I’m past it. Getting kinda hard now and the AI is shite.

Why does the "Copying" stage of patching on PS4 take so ridiculously long?
Downloading the 500MB patch for Destiny 2 today took less than 30 seconds, but "Copying" took so long my controller shut down.

Yeah, I get this now and again, too - it doesn't happen with all updates but it's frustrating when it does; it takes ages to download/update. I've no idea what the "Copying" stage does.

I believe it's defragmentation

The downloading bar is just that - pulling the data onto your machine, then it has to actually install the patch which could take longer depending on the size of the file/game.

Ah! That'd make sense as the frequency of the occurrence increased as I started using a larger external hard drive. With game storage requirements generally getting larger, I guess that adds to the need to defrag, too.

Yeah, it's just that normally the download and install process is reasonably quick but, if a copy phase occurs, that runs pretty slowly. Orange's suggestion that s defrag process is taking place seems to tie up.

It really should be taken care of in rest mode downloading though. I don't expect to turn my ps4 on and have it announce a patch has been downloaded, only for it to sit there for 20 mins when I boot said game up.

Remember burn out paradise and gt5 on the ps3, god help you if you ever did a full reinstall. I remember having to leave burn out on for a solid evening and the day after to install all the updates.

Now there's a feature that never seems to work. I always power off completely and just get updates on next boot-up.

Totally unrelated, but... I keep reading about how ropey the power and eject buttons are on the PS4 / Pro and, to be honest, they are. However, I literally never use them. I'm not even sure if I've ever pressed them on my Pro - perhaps I did when I first booted the machine. I always use the controller to power on and off, and use the on-screen option if I want to eject a disc. Do other folk use the buttons?

Never mind the buttons, I barely use the ps4 now

I use the eject button because the drawer with the current games I'm playing is right under the console. I never turn it off.

I've used the eject button on the Pro about a 10x more than on the OG PS4 but that's mostly because I could never figure out where exactly the eject button was on that. It was one the most ridiculous pieces of design I've ever seen.

I think Everybody’s Golf on the PS3 took me about 20 hours to install.

The only time I've used the power button on my Pro is when ive accidentally turned the TV over to the Pro's input which automatically switches it on.

I only have one disc game for the PS4 (Crash Bandicoot Trilogy that Shadow202 bought me for secret santa  ) so I never have to touch the eject button.
