I finish work at 10 so this is pretty perfect timing for me :D .

I may be interested in the headphones if they have some fancy pants new features.

‘How did you feel Jordan when you heard Sony was getting into the gaming business…’ [in 2022]

I know what they actually meant, but like the ensuing conversation, fantastically awkward.

The Inzone M9 monitor (27", 4k hdr) looks great - and it is - but that $899 price makes it a screen for gamers with pretty deep pockets. I really like it but I couldn't imagine paying that much for a 27" screen.

UK Prices

Sony InZone M9 4K Monitor: £999
Sony InZone M3 1080p Monitor: TBA
Sony InZone H9 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones: £269
Sony InZone H7 Wireless Headphones: £199
Sony InZone H3 Wired Headphones: £89

Very much in-line with their audio and visual products, but I don’t know how this compares in the PC space?

For the masses, you’d be far better off purchasing a 55” TV.

It may be worth a look in next years black friday sales but that's about it for the monitor for me.
As for the headphones I'm hoping Prime Day will see the XM4 get a decent discount so may pick them up.

I was about to create this quote until I scrolled down and realised you had done the hard work already.

Next on the list of things to come back - PAL games running 17.5% slower.

Interested to know how the H9's stack up against not only the Pulse headset, but their XM4/5s, and the equally expensive Bang and Olufsen Beoplay Portals - not including the Pulse (around 85 quid) all retail for around the same £250-£300 price on promotions.

I do like the lack of boom microphone on the others though - the InZone one doesn't even detach.

Are you saying you don't want to look like a pilot when you wear them outside?
Just say "Yes, I was in Top Gun" if anyone asks.

I'm presuming this Zone stuff is for PC gamers? Could be tempted by the wireless headphones depending on how they stack up against the competition. Guessing it's all compatible with PS5 as well?

Yeah, I believe the focus is PS5, Jen; all that kit is compatible with the system. It's a wee bit odd that the cheaper screen (expensive... but less expensive than the really expensive one!) is just 1080p, though.

So, I think the rule is that as we have a PS6 topic that Sony are legally obliged to release it within 18 months.

Peter, we created a PS6 thread last month following Amazon's announcement of the format. I suspect that pre-orders will be up soon :toot: .

This photo of PSVR 2 kit has been posted on Reddit; apparently it's the first non-Sony shot taken of the new equipment.

(Spoiler for huge)

I'm still not sure about the idea of splitting out the standard four buttons (circle, X, square and triangle) across two controllers.

Edit: Some folk are saying that this isn't the real kit. No logos are visible but it's hard to tell.
