So the issue, it was clumsy of them to follow this with lighthearted pet stuff? Am I missing something is this like a total non-story?
It's a non-story if you think Bungie outright supporting women's rights was disrespectful and worth getting a dressing down from their boss in a pussy-footing manner on a widely shared internal e-mail which then goes on at length about his pets.
Thank you for reply and thank you for the gesture of keeping my anonymity after I deleted the post - it was unnecessary but nice of you, so thanks.
I deleted it, because I didn't really want to give the story any oxygen and I'm not really bothered about this person nor the story. If this person actually got in trouble I would be. But reading the whole Bloomberg article I can't really obtain if a sizable amount of Sony are actually 'seething' so I can't tell if the staff are overeacting, nor have I seen the whole email so I can't tell if so tone deaf its funny, nor am I aware of the behaviours of the staff (i.e. if heated discussions on the subject were taking place) and whether they needed to be reminded to be civil.
"Many corporations have felt pressure from employees to comment on the case [why?] but most video game companies have remained silent on the matter [I should hope so!]". I'm not sure what Bungie were playing at, but it seems Jim Ryan wasn't taking a stance on the issue and just calling for civility and respect in a very polite and innocuous way.
