In terms of overall profit, Sony has lowered its projected forecast by $0.4 billion due "to an expected decrease in sales of first-party titles".

Decent figures although supply is really going to have to ramp up if sales for the year are to meet Sony's forecast.

Would the proliferation of subscription services be having any impact on this? Like I’ve just signed up to PlayStation Plus Extra and there’s a incredible amount of stuff to choose from. If you were also signed up to Premium/EA, in theory I don’t think you’d ever have to purchase another game outright ever again.

Yeah, I think the price of PS5 games is having an effect, especially in this climate. Let's hope Sony take note and actually reduce prices.

Demon's Souls £34.99
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection £21.99

at Amazon. I think these are about the lowest prices since launch.

Loaded up Lake yesterday and the auto save began with me haven fallen through the game world:

Restarted and the exact same thing. Thankfully I also had a manual save so I loaded that up instead and it was fine. If it had meant restarting the whole game again I don't think I would have bothered.

Finished Stray - lovely game. Probably my favourite game I've played on PS5.

As well the novelty of being able to traverse about as a realistic cat, it also had a really engrossing bleak, dystopian over world with an intriguing, tragic backstory and NPCs I actually wanted to interact (the game is worth the price of admission for when you meow and their monitor faces display a heart). I definitely prefer its puzzle driven as opposed to shooting (talking of which the resistance you feel whilst scratching on a door is the best use of the trigger haptic feedback I've experienced). I quite like that the story, that the story isn't really the cats story and you I kind of playing as a side character in someone else's story.

Lovely game - anyone else finished it yet?

I posted it a page back.

WD_Black SN850 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD with heatsink - i.e. a bloody good 1Tb internal SSD for your PS5 - is just £109 at Amazon. Absolutely cracking price.

And it's showing up with Amazon's interest free monthly payment plan on mine (5 payments) I delete as I go but even I'm tempted :fp:

Bought this for £130 a few weeks back

Great upgrade. It's exactly the same as the officially licensed one, but significantly cheaper. In tests, it's very slightly faster than the built in storage. Highly recommend! For anyone who doesn't know, unlike the PS4, you dont have to remove the built in storage, so this will bump you up by a whole TB.

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

And even that was a terrific price! It was around £250 not so long ago and even getting one for less than £200 was good. The current offer is great!

Edit: It's currently at number 5 on Amazon's gaming bestseller chart; amazing for a SSD!

Meanwhile... Sony is to discontinue the Accolades feature on PS5. I'd never heard of it; apparently it was a system in which you could award badges to other players for doing well. I can certainly imagine that very few would have done that :slol: .

It was a pointless feature, I only ever really saw it on Rainbow Six Siege and I only ever play that with friends in party chat so I don't need to send them accolades to tell them they did something well.

How can you even see what people are doing on PS5? There’s no activity feed or anything, is there?
Wait, is there?!

Yeah, there is no activity feed like there is on PS4. I believe that Accolades was a feature available in multiplayer titles.

The left stick on one of my Dual Sense controllers is all horrible and notchy. It's worst when slowly moving it in the "up" direction.

Any simple fix for this?

Glad you loved it too. He is a cute bugger isn't he

I like, similar to Inside, there's a bunch of unanswered questions about the over world. I also like Stray was a short self contained game - that [prrobably] won't spawn loads of sequels and world building; although...I kind of want more, maybe some illustrations of the events that led to the world being like it is.

Again such a great game :D

It would help us out if we knew what ‘notchy’ was.
