Got scared yesterday as suddently my TV started displaying alot of lines on the screen , tried changing the hdmi and the port but they were still there. Tought the ps5 got fd so I tried netflix through the TV App and it was showing them.

The TV costs 3x the PS5 and was bought in May of this year. Its funny how I felt relief that it was the more expensive item that is probably borked.

I find it amazing that more than a year after this was released I still can't get close to getting hold of one.

Hopefully my Currys one will turn up soon (to the store for collection). They said up to 4 weeks, and that was about 2 weeks ago.

I now have 5 games lined up for it. At this point i'm half expecting them to say there has been a balls up and i have been downgraded from VIP status.

Still, the closer to xmas it gets, the more like a proper xmas console it will feel

Five games pre-console! I'd thought that I'd gone a bit crazy by getting two, kaz . All you need now is a copy of Balan and you'll be all set for the big day .

I already have it where it performs best (Switch). I really can't justify having a Balan Shrine. I heard they are the worst bits.

I managed to pick up some really good black friday deals on most of them. The amount I saved has already covered the upfront difference in price between the Disc and Digital versions of the console.

But yeah, it might be a while before i pick any more games up for it.

In many ways it's probably the most next gen game, given how well it utilises the new features of the system/controller!

In fairness, a couple of the titles i have picked up (Death Stranding which I will upgrade to the director's cut and GoT director's cut) are games that I happened to miss out on PS4 due to the fan noise on the PS4 pro. Its kind of fortuitous that those games have received some moderate enhancements for the PS5.

The only ones I have bought that are truly PS5 exclusive are Returnal and Ratchet and Clank.

I had a quick look at the latest update for Starfield in the game thread and I made a post wondering about what impact the Microsoft buyout of Bethesda could have on gamers. Will folk switch to Xbox (Game Pass) in order to play Starfield, Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5... or will fewer folk play these games?

I thought I'd refer to that again here as another angle is: will Sony look at creating similar action/RPG games for PS5? Could they make a similar type of game? Maybe they don't have the expertise/experience to do so? I hope they do!

Can confirm it's been there a few months at least. My LG TV doesn't have All4 so have always used the PS5 to watch it.

All4 has been available on PS5 since at least last December - 4 were surprisingly quick off the mark there.

BBC iPlayer on PS5 also supports 4K, which is good news as a lot of 4K TVs don’t.

YouTube app has added HDR support too.

Ah. Thus confirming that I installed apps at launch and didn't check again thereafter.

The addition of iPlayer is good news. Now I just have to work out whether to watch through my TV app, my Chromecast or the PS5.
