Upgraded to Premium for 54 days as it was only £7.

So I can see how much I will use it and I'll decide after 54 days expire. More likely it'll be Extra for me but I grabbed the opportunity for 54 days. Why not. :shifty:

My games are still downloading! The PS5 has been on standby all night FFS! :slol:

Wont be a problem for long though, both my PS4 and PS5 are rammed to capacity. :dread: New SSD definitely on my shopping list!

I got charged twice for my upgrade due to an error, but the refund has already come back from Sony.

Yes, but only if you don't currently subscribe to Plus Essential. If you do, you'll have to pay the difference for the remainder of your existing subscription.

I'm not currently subbed, so does that mean if I want it I have to pay for a year.

I believe that if you don't currently subscribe to PS Plus than you can sign-up for a month, three-month or annual sub for any of the tiers, CK.

Oh! About half a dozen. I'm on a wireless 50mb broadband connection. I assumed it was Sonys side, but perhaps BT need a slap? :capnscotty:

I'll give my old TP Link a dust off later and see if that helps.

If you've got a PlayStation 3 or PS Vita still knocking around, Toy Story 2 (PS1) is £1.69, Syphon Filter (PS1) is £3.99 and Wild Arms (PS1) is £3.99. To purchase on the PS4 and PS5, they want £4.99 and £7.99 respectively. To add funds, if required, you will need to do so outside of the PS3 and then come back and purchase. Purchasing the PS3/PSP version of these games will unlock them on PS4 and 5. Purchasing on PS4/5 does not unlock the PS3/PSP/Vita version however. This however doesn't currently work for Tekken 2 and Mr Driller, which are not currently available to purchase on 4 and 5 (Tekken 2 appears to have been removed from the PS3 store; Tekken 1 and Ridge Racer 4 are now part of a Namco bundle). Not sure about Resident Evil: Director's Cut, though all 3 of the original PS1 games are available to purchase as a bundle on PS3/Vita for £11.99.

Wild Arms and Syphon Filter has Trophies, Toy Story 2 does not.

(Other PS1 titles at low prices that you may be interested in purchasing now includes the under-appreciated Motorhead - well they did release it at the same time as Gran Turismo - Syphon Filter 2 and 3, Disney's Hercules, Silent Hill and the fantastic Kula World. Incredibly, even HARDCORE 4x4 is up).

My day one Extra games on PS5:

  • Deliver Us The Moon
  • Returnal
  • Control Ultimate Edition
  • Death Stranding
  • Spiderman Miles Morales
  • Ghost of Tsushima

Not bad. Held back primarily by SSD space! Looking forward to giving these a play. Have also downloaded a bunch for PS4 too, but these are my priority games.

Can't say I'm thrilled with Returnal.

I've never been much for Roguelike games, and the lack of ability to at least upgrade and improve slightly between runs is really hurting my enjoyment when you end up running into a big boss and then just get slapped back pretty much to the starting point with nothing to really show for it.

I'm going to give it one more go, but right now I'm very glad I resisted spending money on buying the game outright.

You can unlock weapon traits which carry over between runs and are then in the pool for all weapon pick-ups in future, as well as using ether to buy consumables and artefacts at the start which similarly are then unlocked as potential random pick-ups. There are also a couple of permanent upgrades you unlock, but no regular improvements to health or damage etc. The main thing you get from each run is learning the enemy behaviours and layouts of the rooms.

Decided to pull the trigger and pay a few quid to upgrade to Premium for a couple of months. Got Demon's Souls downloading now :toot:

Oh nice! How long did it take you to complete? I love a short game which is good quality and love the theme of this game too, so I may move it up my list of titles to play.

Oh, I loved it. It took me about 6-8 hours (with some pauses during the game) to complete the story, but it was just under 10 hours to get the platinum.

It is a great game and I can't wait for their second game which it will be coming this September!
