I wouldn't stack until 2036 though, Sony will be dead by 2027 when they are purchased by SEGA.

Resident Evil Director’s Cut has been added to the PS1 collection (it was previously available on the PS3/PSP/Vita/PS Classic) but this time with "enhanced up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters."

I presume the Resident Evil 2 demo is still absent though.

I'm actually hoping for an RE Classics collection at some point.

I saw that the US titles are 60hz, does that mean we'll get shafted with 50hz or will they give as 60hz as well?

I don't think there has been any news on this yet, Pedz - we'll have to wait n' see! I'd anticipate that, in line with the US launch of the new PlayStation Plus, we'll find out one day prior to launch; which is 22 June so we'll probably find out on 21 June.

I had absolutely no plans to take up the Extra or Premium levels and the basic Essential level was gonna be my bag.

But looking over the PS4 and PS5 titles that are included in Extra... I'm thinking about it  :fp: . Might have to sack off other outgoings if I do, though.

There's always a snag, isn't there?

Some folk may already know, but it seems that not all the PS4 and PS5 games are available as part of the Extra tier; some - badged as Remasters and including stuff such as Batman: Return to Arkham , Bioshock and The Last of Us - are only available as part of the Premium level.

I'm probably gonna turn down the heat level a bit and wait until we see exactly what is and isn't included in the Extra tier.

The all-new PlayStation Plus will become available to folk across the UK and Europe tomorrow!

If you're planning on going for the Extra or - gasp! - Premium level, is the excitement starting to kick in now? Maybe the adrenaline is flowing as you think about what games you plan to check out first?

Yes, there are a few games that I'd like to play.

Death Stranding
Returnal (co-op)
Stray
The Division (replay)

For now.

Nice one, BOR! Yeah, Death Stranding is great - methodical planning rather then fast action, but ace! - and I still think The Division with it's snowy setting looks so cool.

*If* I go for Extra, I'm hoping to try out Ghost of Tsushima (I want to explore the photo mode!), Wreckfest (Destruction Derby!), Destruction AllStars (I like the look of it) and maybe Returnal (albeit I think it'll be way too tough for me).

I'll probably go for the middle tier, there's some things on the PS5 and PS4 lists I want to play through.

There was some stuff on the PS3 list too, but mostly stuff I've already played and would just be replaying, so not quite worth the extra at the moment really.

Yeah, personally there's not enough about the Premium tier to make me want to splash out beyond Extra, Laga.

I'm gonna see what my upgrade charge is for Essential to Extra. My current standard PS Plus runs (I think! I'd better check) to the end of next March.

My current Plus only runs to September so I think I'd only end up paying about a tenner to upgrade for the remaining 3 months or so based on the price difference between Essential and Extra.

Ghost of Tsushima Director Cut as well. So it means I can play the DLC.

There are rumours that Sony is discontinuing the practice of allowing other retailers to sell PlayStation Plus cards/codes, making the PlayStation Store the only place where you can subscribe to PlayStation Plus. Of course, this would mean that we will no longer see discounted prices for PlayStation Plus at online retailers.

It may be that Sony will continue to allow retailers to sell new cards/codes once the new PlayStation Plus launches tomorrow... but, at the moment, this feels unlikely.

That would be a really weird move for Sony to make. Surely it would only lose them money ultimately.

More likely it's a misunderstanding and it's the existing PS Plus retail cards being replaced with new ones that will be called something different.

I guess you’d have to buy the regular PlayStation Store gift vouchers and do it that way instead - they tend to be pretty heavily discounted on CDKeys.
