I dunno what it is, but i feel the same way with regards to game pass. It's similar to Netflix in that initially it seems like amazing value, but i end up browsing the catalogue and am just overwhelmed by the amount to play. It brings in decision fatigue which just makes me back out of it and play Rocket League. Coupled with the fact that games will come and go on the service, i honestly think my usual method of buying games at launch (very rarely) and then selling on ebay once i'm done would be far more cost-effective.
Objectively, it is great value obviously, but for me, it really isn't.
I totally relate to that thinking, Proto! These schemes can be good value but I know that, personally, I'd find myself skipping from game-to-game after mere minutes; there'd be too much for me to focus on and I wouldn't really enjoy it. Perhaps with games more so than, say, films, the regular "arriving and leaving" aspect turns me off, too.
For many folk I can see the benefits but, right now, like yourself - I don't think it suits my approach to gaming.
