I've got really good use and value out of the Extra level so far (got it in the Black Friday deals I think) and I will probably give upgrading it to Premium some serious consideration when it's time to renew.

Yep, excellent explanation. I was about to type something similar but less coherently.

I’m not sure that Extra offers better value for money, though. The jump in price from Extra to Premium is much smaller than the price difference between Essential to Extra. I’d be more inclined to believe a lot of people on extra bumped up to get access to the library of games and don’t care about streaming, not realising they’re missing about a third of the library.

And that's the point. I have weighed up the pros and cons and the additional few quid a year for premium is not worth it to me. But if you are less price sensitive / less tight then you would go for the full fat one because why not?

Trek to Yomi has only just come out on disc and I was in two minds whether to get it so I’m glad I held off there.

Played a bit of the original Jurassic World Evolution when it was on Game Pass and thought it was pretty good, though a bit more complex on console with a pad than something like Theme Park/Hospital.

Wouldn’t ever purchase an NBA game (apart from the fantastically entertaining Street 2/3) but might give it a go.

The NBA 2K games are technically excellent, fun to play, but they’re basically just an on-ramp for some of the most egregious microtransactions you’ll ever see.

Weakest month in a while for me.

Bought another year of Premium.

Trek to Yomi is a bit rubbish I thought as I did play it on GamePass. I didn't enjoy it and I found it frustrating.

There's 25% off annual subscriptions at the moment, so I've added another year of Extra.

When do the new Plus games go up? Was hoping to have got hold of Jurassic World this weekend.

June Extra/Premium games:

Extra:
● Far Cry 6 (PS4/PS5)
● Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (PS4/PS5)
● Rogue Legacy 2 (PS4/PS5)
● Inscryption (PS4/PS5)
● Soulstice (PS5)
● Tacoma (PS4)
● Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4)
● Killing Floor 2 (PS4)

Premium:
● Killzone Liberation (PSP)
● Worms (PS1)
● Herc’s Adventure (PS1)

Not bad. I almost bought Inscryption so will definitely play that. I bought Rogue Legacy 2 on PC in early alpha but never played it past the first update, so keen to try the finished game.

I think Vampire the Masquerade and a huge number of other games are also being added this month (apologies if the link above says as much - it's blocked at my work). I'm sure a PlayStation Access vid I watched last night showed it.

Looking forward to that and also Rogue Legacy 2. I have already purchased Inscryption and thought it was excellent.

Happy with both of these, might check out the others at some point.

Mankind Divided is great, if only they'd finished making it :(

Kicker is too the games are full price for months and then the season ends and the next summer they sell for £2.99 sometimes.

Then a 2 years later they cut the servers
