Inside Xbox right now is a studio based affair with presenters and stuff, it's pretty cringey tbh but they do actually have big announcements within each one.

Outside Xbox is an independent You tube channel that mostly has vids for Xbox games, but not exclusively. A year ago they launched a sister channel called Outside Xtra which features PS4 and Switch games generally. They have no affiliation to Microsoft afaik.

Isn't Outside Xbox made up of the guys who did the "old" Inside Xbox back during the 360 days?

Only one of them I think. The other guy (can't remember his name, think he had short hair compared to the others combover look) does other stuff now I think.

Yeah, just one Andy Farrant. Jane Douglas worked briefly for Xbox and Mike Channel was a writer for the Official Xbox Magazine back in the day.

For a first try at a Direct type of presentation it was alright, but lacked any big announcements, look at big first party Sony games (Dreams, TLOU 2,) and a shock announcement for a finale.
Still VR stuff looked great if you're into that and Crash looks sweet.

I just recently went back to GoW to kill all the Valkyries, and a friend of mine mentioned that combat in GoW was Xvideos Xnxx Chaturbate heavily inspired by Dark Souls series (not sure if true or not). Knowing that those games are notoriously hard, which one would be the best starting point? Doesn't need to be a From Software game. What should I consider buying the most? Nioh? Lords of The Fallen? Bloodborne? Any entry in the Dark Souls series? Something else entirely that I've never heard of?

Welcome to GRcade, aapn77! I'll await responses from expert Soulsborne players for definitive guidance, but in the meantime and from a PS4 perspective, I'd recommend Bloodborne as a decent introduction (as a slightly friendlier initiation to this style of gameplay*) or Dark Souls Remastered as a first step into the world of Souls.

* It's still super-tough, though!

i understand!!

twitter.com/PlayStation/status/1125386680431775745

Hi all! Excited to share that State of Play will return for a new episode next Thursday, May 9 at 3:00pm Pacific Time. It’ll be a quick show (around 10 minutes), but we’ve got some PS4 updates we couldn’t wait to share with you.

PlayStation Worldwide Studios will be showing off an extended look at MediEvil, as well as a first look at a new title. And we’ll have other updates and announcements from upcoming PS4 games.

One note: Don’t expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!

You can watch live on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, as usual.

As always, we’re always reading your feedback and comments, so please keep them coming! There’s lots more in store for State of Play: episode 3 will return later in the year with more news and updates.

10 minutes to go, rumours includ new trailers for FF VII Remake and Death Stranding.

I expect disappointment.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure it starts in an hour...

Starts at 8:24.

Not bad.

More FFVII info at E3 it would seem then.

Monster Hunter DLC looked good if that's your thing.

MediEvil also looking fun.

The rest was kind of meh.

Though the Predator game could be interesting, but I'm not holding my breath.

Monster Hunter :toot:

Predator is interesting, asymmetric multiplayer is such an underexplored area. Hopefully does better than Evolve, the franchise is obviously a good fit.

Riverbond looks like it could be good fun. I love indie cameos at least! Possibly more of a switch game for me though.

Overall, it was quick and to the point with some good games, so definitely getting better!

Enjoyed that, shame that the predator game seems to be online multiplayer only like that Evolve game from a few years ago. Hey ho. Good luck with that.

Enjoyed that; I thought Away the Survival Series was the highlight for me. Interesting concept and something a bit different, graphics looks pretty too.

Everything about the FFVII remake makes me... Hesitant. It looks stunning but I still really don't like that they've used FFXV's rather dodgy combat system.

And I hate the voices. Those are getting turned off.
