A work colleague listens to this and because it has an utterly stupid name, I refer to it as The Big Brother podcast.

But Justin doesn't have any big brothers, only regular brothers. ;)

It's one of the few consistently bright spots in my world and I love it.

Have you ever tried any of their side podcasts? They're definitely worth a look.

I particularly recommend Wonderful, in which Griffin and his wife Rachel talk about all the little things in life that bring them joy, like hitting every green light while driving, Tamagotchis, and they're favourite music of the moment. It's a departure ( ;) ) from the boys' usual antics, but it's
pleasant listening and often very funny in its own right.

I personally have Wonderful to thank for introducing me to my favourite musician, possibly of all time, Miya Folick.

I've listened to a few episodes of Shmanners, it's alright once in a while, but Travis undiluted can be bit much. I haven't much experience with Sawbones, but I did see it live when they did their Cincinnati show earlier in the year - it was alright. I'm a fan of the Adventure Zone, in which I'm somewhere in the time loop arc. Need to get back into that.

I admit, I haven't heard much good about Wonderful, but I will happily give it a shot.

I must admit, Wonderful can be a little meandering, and the topics aren't always especially interesting. I myself don't care much for poetry, but it's a fairly regular topic. It's nice just to have a chilled, pleasant conversation on in the background, though.

Now that I've got all this air to fill while working from home,
I should really get back to the Adventure Zone. I dropped off midway through the Crystal Kingdom for some reason, and it's just felt like too much of a commitment to pick it back up again...

I thoroughly enjoyed the music of Crystal Kingdom, it was really something.

Parcast's Dictators series has been pretty good lately, focusing on the Kim dynasty in North Korea. A lot there that I didn't know.

I've been working my way through Reply All and just finished "Boy in Photo".

What a brilliant story all about this photo:

He looks so nervous and awkward to have two girls in his room. Assuming it is his room. Can relate. :shifty:

Edit: Nick Terry's MFM animatics are great.

I was wondering why Athletico Mince had gone quiet, without warning. I’m guessing it’s because of this:

That's a shame, Dawson did nothing wrong. If anything he wasn't harsh enough.

Hopefully he’s just lying low until it blows over. I guess @ing Gove’s wife was a bit of an overstep.

She's happy to be a banana split so I see no problem if people do it back.

Just finished a podcast series called Wind of Change.

It's an investigation into whether the CIA wrote (or had a hand in) the Scorpions song Wind of Change. It's obviously a crazy idea but is an interesting series and an enjoyable listen.

Currently listening to Guru: The Dark Side of Enlightenment.

It's about this self-help bloke who exploited vulnerable people into attending his 'retreats' where they be manipulated into undergoing tests/experiments with the goal of becoming a better version of themselves. The Guru's actions ended up costing several people their lives.

Coronavirus has strawberry floated it up as they are now only releasing episodes to subscribers, but Slate do a podcast called "Hit Parade" which is fascinating. Each episode he takes a song/musician/era and takes an in-depth look at the history and stories surrounding it.

Can anyone recommend me some good gaming podcasts?

I currently listen to Giantbomb and the Beastcast but was looking to branch out a bit. I have no idea what the other big/popular/decent pods are at the moment.

Videogamer and EasyAllies (although that has lost a lot of its shine after Kyle left) are my go to weekly podcasts. If you want some in depth retro stuff, try Cane and Rinse, which I think is criminally underrated and not talked about much.
