Just finished listening to Brian Harvey's rude retelling of a Christmas Carol.

The shtick gets old quick but the episodes are short and Scrooge is a bit of a noncey old banana split.

I've been listening to Dust, a collection of sci-fi short stories, and it's very good.

Dictators

With Kate Leonard & Richard Rossner

They are natural-born-leaders with a never-ending thirst for power. Through force and deceit, they rise through the ranks towards radicalism - eliminating anyone who stands in their way. Every Tuesday, delve into the minds, and motives, behind some of the world’s most infamous leaders in Parcast’s original series, Dictators. Each dictator is analysed in 2-part episodes... with the first giving insight into their rise to power, and the second chronicling the impact of their downfall.

What video game podcasts do you people listen to? I used to listen to Jimquisition until Gav left and then it was just depressing to listen to. Then I listened to Daft Souls but that ended years ago and I've gone through them all :(

Waypoint is excellent, but it's got more and more in-jokey as it's gone on. It's still worth listening to though.

Oh man, this one's been really great, good shout!

Secret Societies is also a really good listen.

Everyone here should be listening to the forums bloody podcast. The place has its very own podcast and no one mentions it when someone asks about gaming podcasts? Disgusting.

Thanks, I'll try it. Might start with earlier episodes anyway as I do enjoy listening back to people talk about games that have already been out for years.

Videogamer (although nowhere near the halcyon days of Burns et al) and EasyAllies are my weekly staples, but Cane & Rinse is a good retrospective podcast if you want something with a strong backlog.

I'm fully caught up, I suppose the episodes I thought were the best were those on the South American dictators (Pinochet etc), and the Kim family of North Korea. The most recent series' on Mao and Pol Pot were good too.

I listened to the Mussolini episodes (the first two). It took a while to get into as I'm used the Dollop style comedy history. But this seems a quality recommendation, cheers!

It's definitely not a comedy podcast, much more straight laced storytelling. But it's interesting, and very informative, though a world away from the deep dives we get from the likes of Dan Carlin and Mike Duncan.

Speaking of Duncan, what's going on with the last part of Revolutions? Are we getting that after Citizen Lafayette launches? I know it was supposed to return in November, but there's no sign of it yet.

Dust's Chrysalis series is some truly wonderful storytelling. Absolute gem of a show.

Revolutions is back!
There's a new episode of Common Sense!

Ars Paradoxica is a great little podcast, too - a time travel Cold War adventure.
