I couldn't get into TAZ but I was starting mid show maybe I should go back to the start. If you like that you should definitely try My Brother, My Brother and Me. It's the same brothers doing a comedy advice podcast using questions taken off random yahoo answers. Eh that description doesn't do it justice, it's great improv is all you need to know.

James O’Brien has a Podcast out where he interviews various people.

I have only listened to one, Bill Browder, but strawberry float me it is fantastic. It’s basically an account of how Browder used to invest in Russia and how Putin and the oligarchs have stolen everything. After listening, you can really understand just how and why Putin is managing to distort the entire Western world at the moment.

Highly recommended!

Isn't Putin allegedly the richest man in the word "off the books"? Like worth $200bn or something ridiculous like that. What a baller.

Yeah that's basically what is discussed in that interview. Browder thought that when he became President, Putin was going to be more of a nationalist that would try and fix Russia. In the end he basically stole everything and killed anybody that got in his way.

I knew Putin was dodgy, but strawberry float me he goes well beyond dodgy and is pretty much in Bond villain territory.

More fool you, tbh.

Just finished their first campaign. I'm not going to lie, I cried.* At work. It was embarrassing.

It's definitely one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to, one I found almost impossible not to binge. It was genuinely fascinating to see 4 novices slowly merge into these master players who created an utterly unique campaign from nothing. The narrative was fun, the set pieces dramatic but it's the characters, both of the McElroy's and their creations, that carry it and turn it from what could have been a rote Actual Play podcast into a inventive, emotional, hilarious and touching saga.

strawberry floating brill.

How's everyone else getting on with it?

*Well, teared up.

I'm up to Episode 11: Murder on the Rockport Limted - Chapter Two.

Haven't listened to one for about a week though, took a break as I'd binged pretty heavily on it for a while.

I listen to The Daily and BBC World at One every day and Podquisition every week.

I recently listened through Dirty John and S-Town, both were very good.

Also this weekend on a road trip I listened through season one of My Dad Wrote a Porno, every episode was strawberry floating hilarious, genuinely one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Two more seasons to listen to and I'm going to go to the live show when it comes to Toronto in March.

For any fans of Hardcore History, I highly recommend the History on Fire podcast series by Daniele Bolelli. He's got a lovely Italian accent which just gives another layer of goodness to what's an already very accomplished series, covering loads of different areas of history. His gladiator 2-parter, for example, was immense.

Check it out.

I’ve got a load of them downloaded and ready to go. You better not be lying to me Preezy. :x

For history Podcasts, I have recently finished Mike Duncan’s History of Rome, which was excellent and have started his Revolutions series which is also great.

On a completely different scale, I also recommend the Pornhub podcast. It’s not as much about porn as you would think, but it’s funny and interesting - especially the episode with the double dick dude.

I'm well behind the times, but decided I'd try and get into a few podcasts, as I'm spending a lot of time at work at the moment listening to Youtube videos (talky ones, like Jimquisition,) with the screen flipped down on the desk so it doesn't just look like I'm skiving, so might as well save on bandwidth and just go straight to audio only.

I've found a few interesting podcasts, like Ed Miliband's one, and of course the GRcade one, but want to try and find more, but don't really know where to go.

I've been googling podcast apps/services, and I don't really know how to compare them. There are plenty of reviews, but all they talk about are features like download management and the ability to skip/pick up where you left off. I can't seem to find anything that compare the libraries of content. All I can tell is they're all huge, and most of them seem to share a few big podcasts on their fetured/recommended pages. Is it more like different e-readers where the bigger releases will be on all the services? Are there any that'll offer recommendations based on your tastes and listening history? Or am I best off just getting recommendations from people and downloading them direct?
