Ah, those two were good as well. I would hope they do allow the stone evolves, along with Fairy types so Sylveon gets included in the game (although I will understand if it isn't).

Umbreon and Espeon are the top 2 of course, was just thinking Diamond/Pearl Pokémon rather than gen 2 at first! I keep meaning to do an Eeveelution run of a Pokémon game at some point but never gotten around to it yet.

I haven't done an Eeveelution run before. At least not transfering Eevee in as soon as possible to begin the run. I've tried a Run to 50 with nothing but a team of Eevee on Shield, and that is difficult.

It’s too easy these days to trade a party in to go through the game with, does make it good fun though.

I had an umbreon and espeon in Crystal and they were both beasts, I used to battle my brother a lot and he hated both of them in my party with a passion. Somehow I'd accidentally used my TM for Zap Cannon on the umbreon and he was spot on with it 80% of the time. The espeon was like a wall too. In future games, I haven't used them and umbreon can no longer learn zap cannon anyway.

Pretty sure I had chimchar for diamond. Not sure if I'll go with him again this time round.

I had Turtwig. This was a massive error and I’ll be picking Piplup - unless it turns out they’re using the base DP Pokédex with its two fire types and then I won’t pick anything.

Torterra is great but I can only presume that those advocating for Eevee and its evolutions are cat people, because they're all terrible designs. Each is just a dull, generic cat/fox-like... thing with a different colour and vague nod to its elemental typing. Yawn!

Empoleon is pretty neat too. I've always picked Turtwig but I'd want to try something new for a new game, but there are so few viable options I'll probably pass and wait for the other game instead.
