I'm going to say slim to no chance on Red and Blue remake as Let's Go came out not that long ago, relatively speaking.

Nope.

- As close to zero as you can get, they only just remade it for Let's Go!

I would say there's a chance of Diamond/Pearl remake, a chance of Let's Go Johto but perhaps biggest chance is no "mainline" adventure game from Gamefreak this year and instead they'll be announcing spin offs.

I think I'd agree with that Tomous. I assume Home and Pokémon sleep will be spoken of too.

DLC makes sense and will probably replace the updated version release I guess?

They did outright say it's in lieu of the old way of releasing an updated version.

What are the odds that someone on Resetera is going nuts because this Pokemon Direct didn't have any news about Metroid or Zelda?

I really like the sound of those new islands we can explore, and if they're larger than the Wild Area was, this should be a real good expansion.
Mystery Dungeon Deluxe should be great as well. I'll definitely be jumping into the demo to see how it looks.

Uh, where the strawberry float is my Mario or Zelda information? Not even anything on Metroid either. :fp:

Worst Pokémon direct ever!

Got bored of Sword by the time I reached the wild area. Utterly lacking in ambition and frankly I think I'm done with Pokémon till they get off their arse and do something that isn't just the same strawberry floating game we've been playing for over 20 years reheated with a different flavour added.

I'll be the first to say: these should have been the post game. This was all cut because of rush, and the opportunity to make more money.

Fully expecting more of the same from the Expansion Passes. That being:

- excellent design on new 'mons and leaders
- hollow feeling experience in both new Wild Areas (lots to see but little to interact with)
- stiff animations, dodgy graphics and an abundance of pop-in
- a weak-ass plot, focused on a dull, nonsense legendary plot
- no challenge whatsoever

EDIT: $30 each is also mental pricing. Hard to say whether it's overpriced, but at that cost, you'd be hoping for a minimum combined 20 hours of extra story content, to match the $60 pricepoint of the main game.
