I had done that and it's just Huawei phones and it have issues. Doom here has the same problem and it's seemingly very coomon and easy to find on the interwebs. After you do the transfer and it does on occasion connect for a few minutes you can also open mystery box. I think that was the way to get a ton of Meltan a few months back.

Every 7 days you can transfer a Pokémon from Go on your phone to Let's Go on the Switch to get a mystery box which spawns loads of Meltan on your phone in Pokémon Go.

Is there any way to force a Pokemon back from a gym to get the daily 50 coin cap? All my Pokemon seem to be stuck there for days before they’re defeated and I seem to lose multiple gyms in the same day meaning I don’t get any coins for days and then when I do, I hit the cap and the other gyms are wasted

Also I’ve added a few people here, but could use a few more friends to complete a research project

Who's Dondarrion83? I have one more gift before we become best friends.

Also apologies to two people where I accidentally opened the gift without realising it was the best friend one.

No, I don't think there is any way to shortcut it.

I think you have to play it tactically: so some gyms get turned over often and others not so much. Usually near a bus stop etc will turn over faster. Up a less used side street far less so.

Often, I see rival teams rotting for days in the same spot, so I deliberately leave them alone. After all, they're earning no coins, and it keeps one of their defenders out of action.

On the other hand, unless they are in popular areas and would be attacked soon regardless, I actively go for gyms that have recently been taken down.

Someone has spent time and resources taking them out, so wiping them out quickly afterwards so they have little reward seems the best way to demoralise your foes.

I also go after anyone with a stupid trainer name.

But as a defender, best go with a decent mix of popular and less popular areas and do several at once. Sure, it might take a few days for some defenders to come back, but that's 50 coins for another day when it does get beaten. If you've got c.10 decent defenders, it hardly matters if a few of them are out of action for a couple of days.

You seem to have your strategy all backwards.

If you take a low motivation team out of a gym it's going to help them as they get 50 coins and help you because since they already have their 50 coins they're not going to want to take it over again.

If you take over a gym someone has just taken over they have far more incentive to want to take it back from you.

That's a fair point. But, in my defense, I picked team yellow right at the start and, unlike the popular red and blue teams, have had to fight a sort of guerilla warfare ever since.

If I take out the low motivation team, they will retaliate because they think it's theirs and have grown attached to it. They've had it for a couple of days, after all, so they can expect to take it back and have it for a few more days afterwards. So, I'll leave them to it, letting their level 3 blissey rot pointlessly, earning nothing.

On the other hand, someone takes a gym, and ten minutes later it has gone down. They may just think 'oh well, who cares'.

But you're right, sometimes they strike back. If so, I take it back again and then look out for their most heavily defended gym (the one they think they'll keep and earn coins on) and take that one down too.

If they do it again, I take it back again, and then two of theirs. Until there is a realisation that taking down my gym means wipeout.

Eventually, they just assume there is an obsessed lunatic out there and give up. It's resource intensive, and requires you to know the local big names.

I'm glad I don't live in London literally only because my poke tactics would totally break down there, and not for any other more sensible reason.

London gym turnover isn’t too bad in my experience. NY turnover is dreadful though, barely worth taking a gym because your pokemon will be lucky to get 5 coins

My town is decent for turn over. Usually takes 24 hours for someone to knock you out which is ideal.

I used to live in the city though and there was this one guy who is literally obsessed with the game who would literally take over every gym in town just because.

Any excuse he has to post a screenshot of his stats in the chat group he will do.

I don't understand people like that. If I had as many resources as him I thonk I'd try and help newbies a bit more.

I thonk so too. I tend not to take down gyms for trainers under level 20, and usually not under level 25 either.

I find it's quite a nice community of pokefolks, all in all. Tends to attract nice people who like to help each other out regardless of team. Well, aside from the very occasional bell tower, like it sounds like you've come across. There is also one in my neck of the woods, so I make a deliberate attempt to go after them, even if it's tipping down with rain and I'm late for an important meeting.

He seems like a nice enough guy, he's just a bit too obsessed with making his numbers go up. He's got like 30 people waiting to go best friend so he can use an egg. Even though he's level 40. I'm level 36 and I don't even do that.

Then he deletes most of them straight after so he can add a bunch more people and do it again :fp:

HK gyms are mental, barely worth attacking, you might het five minutes in one.

Almost all my coins come from 'mons I've left in gyms I've found on holidays. The Philippines and Thailand seem to be pretty good for long stretches.
