Nearly every time the ball was near the prick it would do an attack so strawberry float all would happen, prick.

the trick is the throw when they are just finishing the attack, preempt the circle

or use a nanab

I was using my gold raspberry thingies. I have about 100 of them and know the make catching easier. First legendary to escape me

Any tips for kicking arse in the battles online? I lost every fight in a session just now. My team have a cp around 1460 and 3 stars.

If you use these:

You can see what the best move sets are for each of your Pokemon and it'll help you figure out what types your weak against in the team.

Also avoid "Master League" and only do "Master League Classic" which isn't currently available. Classic has a Pokemon level cap of 40, whereas Master League you'll probably be destroyed by hardcore players who are levels 40+ and have over levelled their team towards 50.

You want to try and have different attack types for your charged attacks, there's not much point having two secondary charged attacks with the same element type. Use the above website to pick the best moves for the types you want
