Pokemon Legends Arceus | NSW | Jan 28th 2022 | ‘Daybreak’ update out today!

I'm on 90 hours and have still to go beyond the third noble fight. But today, I'll be making some progress at last, as it's time for my return to streaming after a month away. And what better thing to do on Pokémon Day than play some Pokémon?

Maybe if DLC comes I’ll go back to it later in the year but I’m ready to move on from it now I think. Really enjoyed it though and hope they expand on what they introduced here.

So looks like the update is going to make Alpha-only outbreaks a thing. Pretty cool. Seen a lot of people Shiny Hunting for Alphas, which I've not bothered with as my assumption is any Alphas will lose that size and status when being brought out of the game, same as USUM Totems.

Nothing in the update will make me rush back to it until I can transfer my living dex from Home, then back into it so 8 don’t have to worry about catching all the Pokémon again (although I assume Arceus won’t be able to be transferred back it for obvious reasons :lol:

They seem to have killed the resetting the Mass Outbreaks. That's kind of a shame, and I don't think it should have been considered an exploit since resetting for shinies has been a thing since Gen 2. I liked that it was a way to actually hunt something too, instead of get random shinies at an increased rate, like we could do in Dynamax Adventures.

It did seem overly easy with the outbreaks compared to normal.

True, but it was the fact you could decide what to hunt. The shiny rate is still crazy, but now it's all random. Genuinely think this patch turned it from a game I'd put hundreds of hours into for the rest of the year, to one I'm probably done with now. I've completed the dex, done all the requests etc.

I’m guessing it wasn’t intended that you could reset for the Pokémon you wanted to appear in a mass outbreak though? At least the shiny rates are still very good for mass/massive mass outbreaks.

out of the shinies ive found in this game only one was in a mass outbreak. the rest were just wandering about. funny that

This year we are getting an expansion to Monster Hunter called Sunbreak, and an expansion to a Pokemon game that has been compared to Monster Hunter called Daybreak.

finally found my first ever shiny in any pokemon game, a nice yellow shinx. it's a good day.

Seeing that this update adds some more quests, maybe there is reason to return to it after all before I do a second run of it.

Just got 7 Star Rank I said once I had seen the credits id stop but in honesty I have just slowed down, it has become less the game I really slog into and more the game I grab for the occasional 10 minutes when I cant think what to play.

It really is a heavily watered down copy.

Just finished the 'daybreak' quest. It felt like it was building up to something big and then it just ended. Much like the main story, it leaves you with more questions than answers. I can't tell if that's a good thing or not. It kinda feels like they were too lazy to come up with answers to properly conclude the story and are just hoping to wing it at a later date. But the massive mass outbreaks are a much welcomed inclusion. Should make filling out the dex pages much easier.

So just found there's a random cap of 960 for pokemon in the pastures (32).

Kinda annoying

So I took to long investigating the outbreaks in the coastlands and it stopped raining, any idea how to get them to come back? The person says about going back to the village and waiting, I’ve rested for about a week in total in the village and at the camp.
