so our new versions of zorua and zoroark are supposedly our first ghost/normal types. the only type combination where theyll be immune to both of their own types

Hisuian Zorua? Confirmed Normal/Ghost typing for Hisuian Zorua/Zoroark
Spoiler for new Pokémon, thought I’d play it safe in hindsight!
Thank you for doing what others apparently cannot. Nintendo Life
To be honest I forgot when I first posted it! Did edit in the spoiler quite quickly though!

They’re a really good typing, definitely will be trying one on my team at some point in Legends!

its been a dream typing for me and a friend of mine
I really like the way they’re giving you Shaymin in Legends, it’s available as a post game side quest once you’ve finished the main game and if you’ve got Sword/Shield save data on your Switch.
Very happy with that! One of my favourite mythical Pokemon.
Now to decide what to name my character in Arceus. I've always named my character after the game, and it's always worked well with a couple of very jarring exceptions in XY and Sword and Shield.
I’ve never owned a Shaymin so always happy to see some of the less common mythical Pokémon being made available again! Can you name your character in this? I thought they had a pre set name?

'Arceus' doesn't quite work, because it's the name of a Pokémon in the game. Maybe you could shorten it, perhaps to just the first syllab- oh.
Kind of a revival of the thread, now we're less than a month out from the release.
Having looked at the website for that looking ahead at 2022 article of mine, I'm certainly excited to get into this. Seems it's going to be a great experience.

Meanwhile Pokémon Go stores my 1200 Pokémon in the cloud for free.
Whilst your point about Gamefreak repeatedly coming up with ways of getting more cash from their playerbase, using Pokémon Go as an example is a bit rich, given it's absolutely laden with microtransactions, including increasing your storage, to the point that having a Pokeball to catch a monster can cost the player real cash.

You can get 50 coins a day pretty easily, upgrading your storage costs 200 coins, I have 1200 spaces (started with 200) and have never once paid to upgrade.
Also I don't know if anyone who's ever ran out of pokeballs, you CAN buy them but you get some every time you spin a stop and you can spin the same stop every 5 minutes.
The bad thing Pokémon Go does is gate some rare Pokémon behind RNG egg hatches. But at least I don't have to pay a continuous fee so that my Pokémon collection is safe.
It doesn't really matter if *you* haven't paid to upgrade - the game is designed to either be a grind to get premium currency or to encourage players to splash out. I know plenty of people who have paid to get coins. The game creates ways to get them, but makes it a slog, offering cash-purchases to circumvent this. It's classic "free" mobile game strategy. Pokémon Go is as cynical and cash-grabbing as any of them.
Which is why it's such a weird comparison to make to take about Pokémon and it trying to take money from fans, given Go is absolutely stuffed with microtransactions.
If we were arguing semantics about "well I have never upgraded as I just grind the coins", well, technically, Pokémon Home is free for the first 30 days and is free to store your Pokémon. It's only then not free if you want move them about. It can be free as a simple storage tool though.
In reality, if they wanted to be fairer to the consumer, they should have made it a one-off payment for the software at about £10-15, which I think most fans would happily pay. But the recurring cost is expensive given that a) it's effectively a subscription to organise your collection and b) it's actually more expensive than Pokémon Bank on the 3DS was. That was an annual fee too but was in the region of £3-4 if I remember correctly.
The cynical part is that, since Pokémon Sun and Moon, they have made it so you can't transfer all monsters into one singular game, thus stopping people from doing that (I had all monsters sitting on my copy of Sun until recently).
So yes, Pokémon Home is there to get money from fans and cynically designed to do so. As is Pokémon Go.
Yeah it’ll probably sadly leak beforehand, wasn’t fussed about the major BDSP leaks a short while before it launched as they were just remakes but I’ll be trying to avoid leaks for this (if they happen), you’d have thought they’d have learnt their lesson on how not to get it leaked by now
Only 3 weeks and few days though!
Edit, I wonder if they’ll be having one, larger reveal of information or if they’ll drip feed it over the weeks until release. Kind of hope for one lot of info really.

I'd personally like this not to happen. Game Freak spoils too much of its games before release these days. That said, I definitely think it will for exactly that reason.
Unless they completely foul the bed I'm here day one for this.
