Gamefreak finally delivering an open world Pokemon game! Massive game for Switch in 2022 as well.

Early 2022 is much earlier than I’d have thought considering gen 4 remakes are coming later this year. This has the potential to be superb though!

Could potentially be Pokemon's "Breath of the Wild" moment.

It's what they should have done with Sword and Shield, but it's about time they showed some ambition for the series instead of reheating the exact same formula again and again.

Looked a little ropey in places so I'm assuming it's still fairly early on.

Ultimately I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Stuff like this always seems to have some massive caveat attached.

This has potential, but from what we've seen so far, there's not really anything to get excited about. I don't have high hopes for this.

I'm glad they're finally trying something different but I'm not fully convinced yet. I know it's early but it's looking very empty so far

Shows plenty of promise but looks very early/ropey in places. Really feels like they've got a long way to go which is why the "early 2022" date seems crazy IMO.

I can see it slipping to late 2022, I’m very happy to wait for this though, seems like they’ll please a lot of fans if they nail it so no point in rushing it.

Why wasn't this in the Direct?

I love the colour palette

Very excited about this, more so than I have been for any Pokémon game in years. Yes it looks like it needs a lot of TLC, but for all TPC's flaws I'm not expecting them to release an unpolished product that's had this much effort put into it.

Haven’t The Pokémon Company been announcing most of the games themselves for a few year anyway? Think the one omission might have been LGPE but I can’t remember exactly what that was announced in.

This looks kind of cool but I will have no clue who most of these Pokémon are so will probably skip.

Is it definitely Game Freak developing this? Looks like too much of a big departure for it to be them.

That’s what they said in the trailer! The company who made Pokémon Home are porting DP to the Switch for some reason which seems quite a departure for them going from an app to a full blown game.

Well I know I'll be keeping my eye open for more info on this. I'm definitely liking the fact the starters are all different Gens already, gives it a bit more variety. Looks like the pokeball + will be useful for people who have one too.
