Nintendo have always hada lazy streak when it comes to naming games. Super X, X 64, New X, X Deluxe etc.

At least they don’t have the bizarre numbering system of some series

I loved the trend of DS games that had a subtitle that initialised as DS and even Nintendo occasionally got in on the action - Advance Wars Dual Strike and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (don't be fooled by the reversal!) joined the likes of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, Tenchu: Dark Secret, Dig Dug: Digging Strike, Mr. Driller Drill Spirits, Bleach: Dark Souls, Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy, Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, Dorabase: Dramatic Stadium, Godzilla Unleashed: Double Smash, Lunar: Dragon Song, Ener-G Dance Squad, Commando: Steel Disaster (this one did it backwards too!), Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions (backwards and on other consoles but I'm counting it, sue me), Go, Diego, Go!: Great Dinosaur Rescue, Mage Knight: Destiny's Soldier, Fashion Designer: Style Icon (who can forget this clever subversion), Peggle: Dual Shot, Postman Pat Special Delivery Service, Jake Hunter Detective Story: Memories of the Past (I almost missed this one!) and of course Betty Boop's Double Shift. Dora the Explorer doubled down with two different games Dora the Explorer: Dora Saves the Mermaids and Dora the Explorer: Dora Saves the Snow Princess, perhaps hoping to compete with Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor and the less inventively named Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2.

My absolute favourite though is No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle because it is, of course, on the Wii!

Camelot however absolutely let Nintendo down with Golden Sun: Dark Dawn where the name Dark Sunrise was basically staring right at them, so maybe accusations of laziness with naming are rightly levelled.

(Yes I went through a list of DS games for this. There were far more than I thought when I committed to this post)

A lesser poster would have stopped at Postman Pat Special Delivery Service but I'm glad you saw it through.

I seem to remember really enjoying the first one so I'll look forward to this.

It was pretty short IIRC but had tons of replayability trying to eke out every little bonus point.

Do we expect this to get a physical retail release?

Clarkman wrote:So this is £49.99 on the eShop... I supposed we shouldn't be surprised, but given the original game is about 45 minutes long, that'd be a lot of money to pay if it is anywhere close to the same length... At that price I'd hope this was at least 8 hours long, but that doesn't seem realistic.

Give it a few months and it'll be £30 on FB marketplace.

For sure, why wouldn't it? It'll be a big release for Nintendo.

I don't even think we knew for sure it was coming out this year until yesterday, imagine pre-orders will go up on UK stores very soon.
